1966 MG Midget convertible

Selling this very nice 1966 MG Midget for a friend. He is 73 years old, in the hospital and not doing very well. Ex Marine and Viet Nam vet. This vehicle originally belonged to his brother in law and given to my friend before he passed. He had the engine rebuilt balanced and blue printed, but that was many years ago. It should be gone through. Such as replacing seals and gaskets. I am pretty sure that the valve stem seals probably are dried out and need replaced. It is what I would do. I don't know how many miles were put on the rebuilt engine and transmission before my friend pulled them to paint the car. There is no excessive oil spillage on either engine or transmission, so I don't believe many miles are on them. So, the bearings and rings and other moving components should be in good condition. I have worked on quite a few vehicles in my 63 years and was able to locate the parts that mount on the engine and install them. I had a 1958 Morris Minor in high school. Does that count? Such as, the dual SU carburetors and air cleaners, intake and exhaust manifolds, air cleaners. Comes with extra air cleaners. I believe this engine used a generator instead of an alternator, so I found what I believe is the correct generator and starter motor. Someone correct me if I am wrong and I will see if I can find the correct alternator. There are many in the shop. I have located the correct clutch assembly. I put many parts back onto the vehicle that were originally removed to paint. The grille has a few deformed bars, which I believe are easily replaced. I have only looked in one of my friends parts catalogs, but it seems there are a plethora of parts sources for these MG's. The front emblem is present but cracked. I know these are available. It's too bad someone couldn't do this for old Dodge trucks. LOL! I have found the ignition and door lock key, but not the trunk handle key, which is in the locked position and the reason why the trunk lid won't close all the way. ALL IN ALL THIS IS A VERY COMPLETE AND VERY STRAIGHT VEHICLE. IT COULD USE A PAINT JOB BUT COULD BE PUT BACK TOGETHER AND RUN AS IS. THE BODY IS VERY STRAIGHT. VERY SMALL DENTS IF ANY. IT COMES WITH THE HARDTOP AS SEEN IN THE PHOTOS AND ALSO HAS THE BOWS FOR A SOFT TOP. I THINK I HAVE FOUND AN EXTRA AND IN GOOD CONDITION SOFT TOP FOR IT. IT ALSO COMES WITH A BOOT COVER IN GOOD CONDITION. THERE ARE TWO SETS OF SEATS FOR THIS VEHICLE. I FOUND THE ORIGINAL LOW BACK BUCKET SEATS. THEY NEED TO BE REUPHOLSTERED. THERE WERE A SET OF RED HIGH BACK BUCKETS IN THE VEHICLE WHEN WE STARTED THIS. THEY NEED REUPHOLSTERED. THERE MAY BE SOME SMALL PARTS THAT NEED TO BE FOUND OR PURCHASED, BUT SINCE I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH THESE VEHICLES I DID THE BEST I COULD.
I am sure I have probably forgotten something. Please drop me an email with any questions. If I am online I will answer immediately. I do not have a smart phone as yet, so be patient. Probably the best way to contact me is by phone. Let's see if ebay will let me list it. 916-591-4195 Old fashioned I know, but still works. Thank You for looking.
