The above engine has been completely rebuilt and starts runs like new, with no overheating problems etc.
I also have the original spare engine: BP15GB 17842, it was completely rebuilt also, including a spare set of SU H4 carburetors,(rebuilt), it is in a crate, ready to be installed if needed! And will go with the car if I sell it.
2 year frame off Restoration, with over 100 pictures of the car being restored. completed about 4 years ago, with only about 1,000 miles driven since restoration.
All Paint is PPG Deltron 2000. The base coat is 25623 Gold (vibrant color card) the main color is translucent: Sunset red. Brand code 72722 Sunset Red. Then 9 coats of clear.
Over $20,000 in paint and bodywork.
This MGA includes the following:
Headlight relays, Petronix ignition system, new spark plugs, and wires, spin-off oil filter.
New Pirelli P195/65R15 tires and Moss 72 spoke chrome rims ($2,400) for tires and rims.
New wiring bundle, new oil, temp gauge. Negative ground, with the alternator. rebuilt heater, all new hoses. The cockpit was completely heat & sound insulated during body off.
Re-built SU carbs. completely insulated in the inside cockpit both passenger and driver. Exhaust is heat taped wrapped. Engine professionally rebuilt!
Re-built front end, transmission, new oil in the rear end. Radio with speakers mounted behind passengers,
New top and tan interior.
New tonneau, cover by Prestige Auto LTD, black fabric canvas, installed on car 6/2018 cost $500.
Battery shut off switch in the cockpit.
