1972 MGB Roadster excellent running vintage classic convertible sports car

69,000 original miles, last owner got this car as a gift from his wife 15 years ago, was garaged in Winter and only saw light use.

Runs very well, checked compression (145-150 psi in every cylinder), checked oil pressure when hot and on the highway (65-70 psi), and no smoke, cold or hot. SUs carbs seem properly tuned, exhaust sounds good, no clutch slip or chatter, transmission works perfectly.

Body seems solid and paint looks great from five feet...up close, some waves on top of the fenders and tiny cracks on top seams. My guess, a cheap paint job. But, as the photos show, stand back even just a few feet and looks like a show car.

No rust holes underneath, floors seem solid, trunk floor (often a weak spot for rust) seems perfect. And the car was nicely painted in the engine bay and trunk compartment.

Top is new, has a boot cover, I acquired it with its original Rostyle wheels and can offer this to a prospective buy with a choice....the new Minilites as seen in the ad, earlier steel wheels with hubcaps, the Rostyles or with 14" center lock wire wheels (at varying prices).

All gauges and all electrics work, front end is tight, checked the brakes and they work well (pads and shoes maybe 50% worn), wiring harness looks as if it was never messed with, chrome is probably original and in good condition.

Interior is very nice but I suspect under the red and black seat covers, the original coverings are worn or ripped. I do have a nice pair of original black seats and would be happy to change them if wanted by a buyer (see photo).

Overall, a nice, sold, great running and driving car, still with current State inspection sticker into 2018, and ready to drive anywhere.
