For sale 1969 MGB Roadster
This antique automobile is extremely fun to drive and is very sharp looking as you can see from the pictures. My father restored it about 20 years ago. Restoring British classic/antique cars was a hobby of his. We have owned it for the past 14 years. It has been a reliable car and was even driven to work and back five days a week for over two years. The odometer says it has 98,345 miles on it but this is not accurate. We are unsure of the actual mileage. The paint is a beautiful shade of red as you can see from the pictures. The paint job was done about 20 years ago. There are three chips in the paint, two of which I have pictures of. The third is on the door and I couldn't get it to show up in a picture. It comes with a black soft top that doesn't leak. There are no known problems with the engine or transmission. There is a problem with gas flow. It doesn't idle smoothly. We feel it is a issue with the dual carburetor setting. We put a new float in the carburetor and can't seem to get them set correctly. We have been told dual carburetors are very tricky.
Since we have owned it, we put on four new 72 spoke chrome wheels, new hub extenders, new epic tour tires, new leather and carpet interior. The tires have less than 500 miles of them.
Why are we selling you ask: two main reasons. First, we no longer have time to drive it. We have a daughter and she keep us very busy. Secondly, we are not mechanics. My dad was the expert and he passed away about 11 years ago. Ever since we worked on the dual carburetors we can't set them correctly so that is idles smoothly.
This car is an excellent collector car and is a fun car to drive around town on the weekend and get lots of attention and compliments.

The car has been kept in a garage.
Currently, it starts with the first try but doesn't idle smoothly enough to drive and backfires. We feel this is due to the carburetors not being set correctly.
