1979 MG MGB Overdrive & Wire wheels

1979 MG MGB with factoryoverdriveand wire wheels. This MG has the very rare wire wheels & factory overdrive. This is an absolutely RUST FREE car. No signs of any prior accident damage. Showing 79K miles. VERY original example of stock MGB. One older repaint in it's original Vermilion color, (orange-ish red). Rust free examples are getting very hard to find, especially with the overdrive and wire wheels.
Looks, Runs and Drives GREAT!!
BODY- The body has NO RUST,nowor ever. Excellent body lines. Excellent door gaps. Has very nice shiny paint. Looks to have had one older repaint, back to it'soriginalcolor ofVermilion, (Orange-ish red). Paintis very nice and shiny. Looks like showroom new from a few feet away. You can see minornormalimperfectionundervery close inspection as can be expecetd on any 38 year old classic, but over all a very beautiful caryouwill be proud to drive and show. Not afully restoredconcourseshow car...but overall one of the nicest looking MGBs I've seen in awhile. Very high end driver quality car.
ENGINE- The MG has it'soriginalnumbersmatchingrunning gear. The car starts right up easily every time. No smoke and no unusual noises. Has great oil pressure. Runs very cool, never runs hot. Electric fans work perfectly. Very original under the hood. All stock.TRANSMISSION- The MG has it's original factory 4spd transmission with working electric overdrive. Transmissionshift effortlessly with no grinds or unusual noises. The overdrive works perfectly. Engages in and outcorrectly. Clutchis very good. No slippage.
ELECTRICAL- All the electrics work correctly. Headlights, dash lights, brake lights, back-up lights, side marker lights and turn signals all work correctly with no problems. Even the trunk light and interior lights work. All thegaugeswork correctly. Windshield wipers work well. Even the clock works and keeps correct time! Noelectricalissues at all.
INTERIOR- The interior looks very nice with no rips or tears. Alloriginal. Seats, door panels, dash and carpet all look good. Doors,glovebox and trunk all lock and un-lock with the keys correctly.
WHEELS & TIRE- The car sits on it's original wire wheels. The wheels are in very good condition. No rust and no damage. The wire wheels are wrapped in an almost new set ofMichelinRadial tires. Wheels and tires are in very good condition. Comes withthecorrect wire wheel wrench and lead knock-off hammer. Also has it'soriginaljack...all in the original tool pouch.
CONVERTIBLE TOP- The convertible top is in near new condition. Fitment is very good. Hasthedesirablezip-out rear window. Top frame is in very goodcondition and folds up and down with ease. Includes the original top boot cover as seen inthepictures. Backwindows are very clear.
This is my personal car. It is registered, tagged and insured in my name.
This is not a $20K restored show car. It is however a VERY nice looking, verypresentable, very dependable driver quality sports car.
