Description:

1966 Mercury Comet

You're looking at a 1966 Mercury Comet Caliente Convertible we just took in on trade. it has a small block ford (302ci), 3speed automatic transmission, full length headers with true duals that have a nice growl but not obnoxiously loud, the Holley 2bbl carb was just rebuilt, it has power steering, 4 wheel manual disc brakes, 14" American Racing wheels with good tires (245/60/14). The car runs, drives and stops as it should. It does have some squeaks and rattles that you'd expect from a 54 year old car. It isn't restored but its a very nice daily driver or a weekend cruiser to hit up the car shows or cruise around town. the top was recently replaced, its a power top and works perfect. if you're looking for a driver or a candidate to restore, this car is perfect for either one and you'd be hard pressed to find one in this condition for the price. the shock tower are known to rot out in these cars, these ones are in perfect condition as shown in the pics. they don't look to have ever been cut or welded on. the car has some cosmetic issues, it has paint chips here and there which is expected on a driven car, it needs armrest on the doors, there's no trunk keys, the rear bumper has the ends painted to match the color of the car, there's no dash lock. all small stuff that doesn't stop the car from being driven and enjoyed while its being worked on.
I've tried to include pics to show it as it is, if you have any question, feel free to ask!

the car is sold as is with no warranty implied
