If you win the vehicle, please send a $500 deposit to our Paypal account within 12 hours. eBay is letting anybody bid, regardless of your past history. If you as a buyer have not bought at least 3 items in the last 3 months, you need to call us before you bid or your bid will be immediately removed.
We are trying to be fair to all buyers and we do not want non paying bidders bidding up cars that an honest person wants to buy, and being bid up by a person who is playing a game with our account and thousands of other accounts in this country. We want to be fair and square to all real potential bidders. Non paying buyers will be reported to eBay. We hope not to have any.Balance is to be paid by check, cash orwire transfer only. Please send us your name and phone number directly through eBay so we can work out the paperwork and delivery afterdeposit has been made. We charge $150 for paperwork and title transfer and 45 daytags are available for $18.50.

We sell all cars as-is, which means the buyer isresponsible for any and all repairs, according to the Ohio Buyer's Guide (includes body, mechanical, frame and interior). We do our best to describe all vehicles as accurately as possible, but keep in mind that opinions may differ and that it'sthe buyer's responsibility to inspect the car before bidding. We advise all bidders to get a third party to check out the vehicle if they can't make it out themselves to ensure their complete satisfaction. This must be done before bidding. When you view the pictures of the vehicle, make sure you look at them on a large screen to ensure that you can see all attributes of the car.

If the car starts and runs onto the truck, but it does not start at arrival, that is the buyer's responsibility (cars may be damaged on a long, bouncy trip). Once the car is paid for, all buyers should put insurance on the vehicle because they now own it. We will work with your shipper or you can call Mike, our shipper, for a rate at 781-763-7447 Ext. 208. We leave all buyers positive feedback. All sales are final. All deposits are non-refundable, so please make sure you know exactly what you're buying before you bid. Our shipper will get the car to you within 4 days to 2 weeks at a fair price. If you'd like to call him for a price, that would be fine.

All cars left on our lot after 30 days will be charged $18 a day and we hope we never have to collect a dime. But we don't have enough space to store everyone's car after they're paid for. It's the buyer's responsibility to pick up their car that they just purchased. Please remember we are on the buyer's side. Please only bid if you are a real bidder who wants to purchase the vehicle, and again, if you haven't purchased 3 items over the last 3 months we will remove your bid. If you're a zero bidder and you bid at the last second just before the auction ends, the vehicle will be offered to the bidder before you and you will not end up with the vehicle, so you need to call us.

Thank you for looking at our 1966 Mercury Monterey 2-door Convertible. This car is equipped with a 390 v8 engine with a 2 barrel, power steering, power brakes, power convertible top, and upgraded sound system. The gentleman that owned this car had it for 10 or 15 years. When he first got it, he had it painted and upgraded the wheels and tires on the car to his liking. He didn't drive it in the winter. It was definitely a toy. He bought it from the estate with actual miles and somehow now they turned non-actual, so that's how I'm selling it. I personally checked at the title bureau and somebody just checked the wrong box by accident.

The interior we think is in fantastic condition, especially for a 54 year old car. The body still looks good, not much different than he painted it years ago. The original color was a shade lighter yellow (you can see in the jams). The convertible top we believe to be original, and there were a couple spots patched. This is to be expected on an original convertible top. This car starts easily and drives really nice. It has dual exhaust and we just replaced the master cylinder. The tires and wheels that are on it, as I said earlier, look great on the car. But all 4 original hubcaps are in the trunk if you want to switch it back. Those spinner hubcaps are really cool. It also includes a shop manual in the trunk. The previous owner took it in for all mechanical work anyways, and it also has a brand new battery, less than a month and a half old.

When I bought the car from him, I asked him how the frame was, and he said it was good. And he was right, but the frame that goes underneath the trunk has rust. I asked my mechanic if I should send it out to get it fixed. He said it wasn't necessary because the main frame is fine, goes to the back of the car, connects to the body and is plenty strong in the rear. I would imagine that if you were going to send it out to a frame shop it would be $200 a side. If you have the opportunity to stop by and drive it, we think you'll really like it, because the motor sounds fantastic and it shifts absolutely beautifully. We believe all lights work.

We sell a lot of classic cars, and so we try to describe them and what they are as much as we know. And we think this would be a great summer car to cruise around in and go to car shows. And in the future, if the new owner wanted to upgrade it with a new top, fixing the rear frame rails, or just adding some more chrome, it would be even nicer than it is today. We'd also like to mention that we have the boombox that was in the trunk. If you like it, we'd be glad to give it to you with the car since it goes with the car and we have no use for it. If you're ready to cruise back to the 60s, this Monterey is waiting for you to take it home!
