An originalRust Free Arizona Car assigned to the JLR Classic Restoration team at Minneapolis Jaguar for a total rebuild and to keep the original classic lines of the 1941 Mercury Convertible, yet update the drive train with the finest modern components regardless of price. Known history from the Arizona Title and also determined that we were the second PRIVATE owner.We installed latest iteration of the beloved 1953 Flathead engine rated at 195hp. (1953 engine 145hp;Offenhauser High Compression Heads+10hp; Offenhauser Intake Manifold and twin Stromberg carburation +15hp; Block-Hugger ceramic exhaust manifolds +10hp; 12v conversion and PertronixElectronic Ignitor ignition & Flame-Thrower Coil +10hp,)and all the special engine and suspension high-tech names e.g. HC Offenhauser aluminum-finned & polished heads and Offy intake manifolds, twin carburation,Block-Huggersilver-ceramic exhaust headers, 12v conversion, Pertronix ignitor electronic ignition-Flame Thrower coil, Be-Cool aluminum radiator, Maradyne fan, new GM Turbo 700R Hydramatic 4-Speed w/ o/d. At full throttle on an open road, it comes off over-drive at 85mph.9" Ford Differential, Wilwood Power brakes all 4 corners-11"ventilated rotors with 4 piston Willwood Red Calipers, Heidts-Superride Coilover adjustable shockssuspension, Mustang II Power Rack &Pinion steering, new Diamond Back radials on new special order 6 & 8"Vintage Wheels by Wheel-Smith with built in offset, New English wool carpets. There is a RemoteSony stereo radio disc player mounted behind the dash chrome grille---it all goes on &on. As New-Non Finer. Special Note: Please excuse the lack of co-ordination of photos; some photos were taken before items were installed. Example: photos of suspension show theoriginal wheels, spacersand tires before the new Wheel-Smith wheels and Diamondback tires were installed. Also may show clutch pedal which was of course removed when the GM700R transmission was installed replacing the clutch pedal. Sorry for the owner'srush to take photos before finish of the car.
