Price: - Item location: Mara, British Columbia, Canada
Description:

1960 Mercury Monarch Richelieu Cruiser

Monarch Richelieu Cruiser1of 167 Produced.
This exceptionallyrare Monarch is in need of a full restoration. It is complete with no parts or trim missing as far as I can tell. It is listed on the Mercury Club web site as "very rare" with the total production of Monarchs for 1960 at 4494, with only 167 produced as Richelieu 2 door Cruisers. The listed value restored is $68,000.00
Mechanical: This car has been sitting for over 30 years. The previous owner tells me that he had it turn over with a battery 4 years ago. I have never tried to start it. It will need all the typical work that a car sitting this long requires.
Interior: The interior is silver and black, all the chrome trim is in place as are all the dash parts, it will need to be completelyredone, but nothing is missing.
Body: The floors need to be replaced or repaired in the foot wells, front and rear. The rockers need replacement, the 1/4 panels have some rust but not too bad and are easily repairable. The trunk floor will need patching, the frame is very good, the front end sheet metal is good. The glass is good and the windows roll up and down, the windshield needs to be replaced (I have located a used one locally and if the winning bidder wants to buy it, I will make the arrangements for them). The paint is poor, the hood cable is stuck so I could not get the hood open for more pictures.

This is likely to be one of only two remaining1960 Mercury Monarch Richelieu Cruiser Coupes left in the world. The other is red with a black top that was purchased in Saskatchewan Canada and shipped to Oslo Norway in 2012. I recentlydid a Google search I could not find any, not even a picture of one, except in old factory brochures adds.
