Up for bid is a very nice low mileage preserved 1989 Mercury Topaz fordor sedan with only 65,303 miles since new and the top of the line at the time for this model. This car belonged to my Aunt who is now 85 years old and due to her eye site she has not been able to drive any longer. I went with her to purchase this car when it was barely 3 years old from the original owner through a long time friend who sold the car new in 1989 and worked for Park Lincoln Mercury in Yonkers New York near where my Aunt lived. I have all the papers when we purchased the car.

This car has everything I believe could be had at the time you could have ordered except power windows of which I don’t think were available on this model?.

This is a front wheel drive car with fuel injection and receives great gas mileage in the 25 mile per gallon range. We just put all new tires that now have maybe 200 miles on them and the factory spare was never used. Also a new alternator was installed about 400 miles ago. The only thing that would need attention would be the Air Condition which does work but will now need a shot of Freon as it is not ice cold.

This car has always been stored in a heated indoor garage in her building its entire life and has never seen the snow or been stored outside in bad weather. There is not an ounce of rust on this car the undercarriage is clean as the top and looks like a garaged car no more than 3 years old. The Black paint is original and presents really nice as you can see with only minor chips that one would get when people opening doors are not careful and the front bumper has some light cracks on the plastic flat face but nothing that takes away from the car. The interior is like new and the back seat was maybe used only a handful of times.

Mechanically this car runs like a 3 year old car and is tight and responsive like a new car. You will not believe the nice ride this car has and does not have a squeak or rattle anyplace is like a baby Lincoln. A great long term pampered car that will give someone great reliable transportation for many years to come for under 3 Thousand Dollars. Best of Luck to all.
