This baby was lovingly called the "Chrome-mobile" back in the day it was hot off the production lines! And BOY does it show! This NICE 1956 Mercury Monterey is SO NICE to look at and drive. For a 62 year old vehicle, it appears to have always been maintained well. The mechanical is solid, it starts and drives well and should only need some basic maintenance to make a daily driver. The ORIGINAL 312 CI V8 engine starts from sone cold EVERY TIME. The body panels are straight where it counts, and has only minor corrosion spots that shouldn't be too difficult to fix or restore.

This Mercury Monterey is a great find. It runs and drives. It has all the chrome pieces and they are in good condition to just have re-chromed if desired. It has not been restored, but it is a rare car in decent condition. See the video below! Mechanical Description

This Monterey starts up immediately from stone cold every time! The compression in each cylinder is between 120-127. Oil pressure is very good, and it does not overheat. There is some small lifter noise, but the spark plugs all show a nice white/gray color and are not wet and oily. It may need to have some oil treatment run through or a top end rebuild to be 100%. The transmission shifts smoothly, and does not present any problems at the time of this posting. The brakes work well and master cylinder was replaced after photos were taken.

As with all used cars no express warranties are implied. Do yourself a favor and have an inspection done to give you that piece of mind that the car is all there. Exterior Description

The exterior of this Mercury is very straight where it counts! The body panels are straight when you look straight down the side. There are only some minor corrosion spots that will need to be addressed. The trunk area is solid and no rust through spots (see video). All four original hubcaps are present and in great condition. It has not been restored before, so you would be working with a clean slate.
