When you view the pictures of the vehicle, make sure you look at them on a large screen to ensure that you can see all attributes of the car.
We are offering for sale a clean 1974 Cougar XR7. We bought this classic car from a gentleman who bought it through the estate of his aunt. Since she passed away, it was not possible to verify whether or not the miles were actual. He bought it from the estate with 67K miles that were actual. But when the state transfers the title, (that's 5 digit, not 6-digit), there's no one to verify that the miles were actual, so they mark down either non-actual or exceeded.
This is the third estate car we're selling within the past 30 days, and that's what they do in Ohio because there's no one alive to swear that these miles were actual. It starts easily and drives very nicely down the road. The interior is in fantastic condition for its age. The body we believe to be original with some bubbling in certain areas and just a drop of rust on the rockers, which may or may not be noticeable in the pictures.
The chrome is in great shape, all the windows are fine, transmission shifts correctly, the exhaust is quiet, brakes are to the top, and it's just a lot of fun to take it out for a cruise. You'll get a lot of looks driving it, because it is the XR7, and triple white with the Landau top is a great color combination on this car. Even the tires look pretty good. We drove the car back from Canton, Ohio and it ran fine. The only mechanical repair it's going to need is valve cover gaskets because the ones on it are probably the original ones. It's an inexpensive repair, probably 15 dollars for the gaskets, plus probably an hour of labor. Anybody who's looking for an entry-level classic car just to drive it around when they want to will have a ball driving my Cougar XR7.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL BIDDERS!
