1956 Mercury Other

Listing the Lost and Found Mild Kustom Mercury built by Frank DeRosa Sr and Frank DeRosa Jr. This was Frank Jr's personal car throughout his High School years. Frank Jr. purchased the car from John D'Agostino when John brought it in for a repaint. Frank Jr changed the color and interior and made a mild kustom cruiser out of the car. The car was shown at the 1986 Grand National Roadster Show, the San Francisco Kustom and Motorcycle Show and The Sacramento Cal Expo show. Frank later sold the car off to pursue other projects and lost track of the car. After an extensive search the car has been tracked down and returned home to the DeRosa Custom Shop in Pittsburg Ca.
Unfortunately as the car changed hands it had been somewhat neglected. The prior owner had driven the car to the back of his home and had pulled the front sheet metal off with the intent of doing an engine swap with a modern 302. As it sometimes happens life just got in the way. The car sat in that state uncovered and apart for the last 16 years.
Upon recovery of the car Frank did a mild detail on the car to what you see here. The car is equipped with the original 312 V8 and auto trans. It is not currently running or driving. This car will need attention to bring it back from it's 16 year slumber. Water has made it's way into the car and it's in need of a floorboard replacement. The title is clear and hard stuff is already done. It's a really good looking ride. With a little love it can be a flawless ride in no time.
If you have any questions you can reach Frank Jr. directly at the shop at 925-439-5115. This car deserves to be saved and put back on the road. We will assist in World Wide Shipment. All shipping fee's are the buyers responsibility. Local pick up is welcome. Serious inquiries only please.
