The 450SEL was the first Mercedes Benz to be officially named "S-Class" PRESIDENTIAL CLASS,this vehicle won its place by being named European Car of the Year in 1974, just 2 years after its appearance. The car sold for $32,960 in 1979. Its powerful engine is a 4,520 cubic centimeter V8 and being so safe that today, people still refer to it as "the safe" or "the tank".

This particular car is a 2 owner car (2 friends have owned this car for all its life), meticulously maintained 138,705 miles, these engines can go for over 300,000 miles with routine maintenance. Everything in the car works fine, A/C unit is not installed but comes with the car, power windows, power door locks, power antenna. We have a radio for the car but not installed in case the buyer want to fit one to his taste. It does havesome minor details that could use some attention, but overall this is a very nice classic that could be a show car with very little effort and dedication, this car is stunning and imponent.

Paint was faded after 39 years and we did a fresh coat of paint in its original Graublau (Gray Blue Metallic color code 906), it had never been painted before, straight body. This car was purchased in Florida and then lived most of its life in Arizona.
