1983 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series

Hello. I have a 1983 Mercedes-Benz 300sd for sale. It was a Father/Son project last winter. My son is going to school upstate and he will be looking for a 4wheel drive vehicle. That is the reason for the sale.It took a long time to find the right rust free Mercedes 5 cylinder turbo diesel that we wanted to buy. If you have been looking, it isn't easy.We went over the car front to back. We wanted reliable, safe and durable. I think we did that.
Changed the fuel filtersChanged the oil and oil filterChanged the air filterChanged the under hood mat with foilAdjusted the valves to proper specifications.Diesel purgeWindshield wipersInterior bulbs all LED with some red as well as the dash lights red LED.Full professionally installed high amperage Sony Bluetooth XM radio with 4 new speakers and a bass control knob. 2-12 inch jl audio subwoofers in ported box. Jl audio amplifier and a capacitor. All the factory speaker grills were kept in the interior. All looks stock.Drivers seat was taken out and apart with new springs and some Pool noodles to firm it up. (Found that fix online and it worked amazing).Netting behind both front seats were changed.Passenger guide rod mount was changed.(I have drivers side guide mount just not installed)No rips in the seats.VERY CLEAN!!!!There is no blow by when the oil cap is removed.
It does drip a little oil like every other Mercedes diesel I have looked at.
It has been waxed more times than it should be by an enthusiastic 16 year old.Tires are good.NO RUST!!No disappointments.
