Description:

1976 Mercedes-Benz 400-Series

1976 Mercedes-Benz 450 SLC "barn find" in absolutely 100% original condition. This Benz has ONLY 57,000 original miles. This is a time capsule of a car. This Benz is 100% rust free. There is no rust on the rockers, floorboards, frame, or suspension. The body is also completely rust free. This was originally a Texas car which reflects this. This car has its original 275 cu/in V-8 engine that runs extremely well. The engine is quiet and the transmission shifts smoothly exactly as it should. The SLC model was produced in limited numbers of around 3000/year worldwide.

Being a Texas car, the paint on the hood and deckled have faded and has caused the seats to crack. The replacement seats are around $1000 in leather and $300 in vinyl. This car is 42 years old so please take that into consideration when bidding or buying. Currently has new tires and has been checked over mechanically and shows very little wear with no leaks or smoke when starting. The windows and sunroof and the rest of the power options work as they should. The power steering whines a bit but is probably due to lack of driving.

The car is located in Hebron, KY in my classic car shop and is available for viewing most days and weekends by appointment. My shop is also located next to the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Please ask all questions prior to bidding as this car is sold as-is. I also may be able to help with transportation. Car is listed locally and I receive the right to cancel upon a local sale being made. Clear title in hand.
