1981 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class
The buyer had a financial hardship and was not able to complete the purchase of the car, so we are re-listing it now. Any questions, please feel free.This is a very decent late 1981 Mercedes 380 SL. It has had a great deal of money and time put into it. It is driveable, likely anywhere, but am happy to assist in shipping if you would like to ship it. We have driven it around here back and forth lately. If you plan to ship it, I cannot give rates, I am a private company and we do not ship cars. We are not a car dealer. We own this vehicle, it is titled in our name and is a clean south carolina title. There is no warranty on the vehicle, it has been described exactly as I know it. We purchased from an estate sale when we bought it, the previous owner, as I am told, acquired it in 1992 or shortly thereafter. It was a daily driver for a while we were told, then a slow restoration project to which was not completed entirely, at least not to my standards. We have done a great amount of work since then, and it will make a good car for someone. This is a low dollar entry into a good classic mercedes. It also has a new battery in it and new fuel pump and filter. If there are questions, please feel free to ask us. The reserve is low, but we will not give it away. We need the storage space right now and simply need to sell it to make room for another project we bought. We are happy to pick up the buyer from the airport, CHS is the closest and only about 15 minutes from our facility.

Upon closer inspected underneath the hard top, there is slight surface rust along the edge where the hard top sits. I had not noticed this before and wanted to disclose that. It is very minor, nothing serious at all, and in two spots that I can see. Hard to describe the size, but trivial and not noticeable at all with top on... hardly noticeable with it off. My description above said no known or visible rust I can find, and I found this and wanted to disclose. Also, there are a few trim pieces not installed, but I BELIEVE that we have all of them. And as a BONUS, we have a very large assortment of parts that can go with it that have significant value. We have other interior, LOTS of other chrome, trim pieces, grills, etc.... I just need the space, hence the sale to begin with.
