1982 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series
My 1982 Mercedes Benz 300CD coupe 5 cylinder turbo diesel with an original 151,000 documented miles. I know the 300CD well. I owned it for years, sold it, and later bought back. Its always been garage stored and the miles are documented on the title. This particular car was finished in classic white/737 with Blue MB-tex, it is a very elegant color combination. The original paint still looks amazing. It shines like a much newer car. There are no dents or accidents on this original car,(clean car fax)there is absolutely no rust anywhere. It is hard to believe this 300CD is 36 years old! The body and paint and interior look like a few year old vehicle. The interior is super clean as well. The headliner, door panels and carpets are clean and there are no cracks or tears in them . Even the original wood is in excellent condition and still looks elegant. .
This 300CD has always been garaged and pampered.
It always starts up right away without any hesitation and has lots of power from the start. The transmission shifts well through all the gears and there are no strange noises of any kind. The AC has been converted to the newer style freon and it blows cold through all the vents. The climate control works accordingly. The original radio with cassette player still function together with the power antenna. All the windows, the sunroof and the power door locks work properly.
This 300CD is truly fun to drive in town and on the freeway. It cruises comfortably at 85-90 miles per hour while still averaging 27 mpg of diesel.
With the relatively low miles and the very original clean condition it should be a great addition to any car collection. This car really stands out. I do get waves every time I drive Please look at other 300CD's on E-bay right now with less miles but anaskingprice of $40000,-. My car has more mile, but was very well taken care of and adult driven, and is priced realistically.
This handsome coupe is a reliable car to drive daily, would also be perfect for anybody who likes classic cars. I would not hesitate to take it across country. I could not think of anything it needs. Please look at all the pictures .
Recent service 2018 includes the following:
Replace transmission modulator, transmission shift bushings, rebuild vacuum system, valve adjustments and gaskets.
