Description:

1975 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series 280

This Mercedes is beautiful, in excellent condition and has never left Arizona where it purchased new in 1975. It has been stored in climate controlled storage its entire life and has never seen rain. It is unrestored and the color combination makes it very rare and highly collectible. The paint is Caledonia green and the interior is deep green. It runs and drives excellent and starts every time. It has absolutely no rust, not even surface rust, the undercarriage is unbelievably clean. It was owned by a single family for a majority of its life and has been registered twice since. It currently has 59,000 miles which is verified by the title and a vin check. It has never been in an accident and the body has never been repaired. Don’t miss this opportunity to own a very special and desirable Mercedes.

The motor makes no unusual noises, doesn’t overheat and the automatic transmission works as it should. The brakes work great. It holds temperature on the highway and sitting in traffic on a 90 degree day. The rear main seal was just replaced and while the transmission was out it was fully inspected and it needed nothing. The battery is new and mechanically the car is very strong. It will start first try after sitting for a month plus. The exterior is all original and has never been painted or seen any body work. Overall the exterior is in excellent condition, all the chrome is polished, the paint isn’t faded and all the body panels are in excellent condition. All the exterior lights work, the exhaust sounds amazing and none of the lights are faded or cracked. All of the windows go up and down and the windshield wipers work great. Cruise control works and all of the other buttons work as they should. The trunk and hood open and stay up. All the doors open and close and there are no unusual gaps on any of the body panels. There are a few small dents that are only noticeable in certain light that are less than a quarter inch in diameter on the driver side quarter panel and driver side rear door that could easily be removed. There are also a few very faint surface scratches here and there. The hubcaps are original and are painted to match the car. The tires are brand new and have seen less than 200 miles. The bumpers are both in excellent condition with a couple faint scratches. The exterior shows very little wear and what you’d expect on a low mile, well taken care of antique car.

The interior is a beautiful deep green and also in excellent condition. The seats, door cards and carpet are all green and nearly flawless. The front and rear seats aren’t ripped and show no signs of wear. The carpet in the front and rear is in amazing condition and has no matted areas and is free of stains or rips. The dash is also in great shape with only a single small crack that runs down from the vent, the AC blows ice cold and the heat works great. The shifter is on the column and operates flawlessly. The radio gets every station, the speedometer, rpm gauge, gas gauge, coolant temp gauge and oil temp gauge all function as they should. The clock doesn’t work but I’d imagine it’s not a difficult fix. The glovebox, center counsel and every other storage area opens and closes as it should. The headliner is in excellent condition with no sagging and no blemishes. The front maps pockets are not installed but are included with the clips. The spare tire is original and the original tool roll is also present and complete. The interior is incredible for a car this age that hasn’t been resorted and id put it up against a fully restored interior.
