Description:

1962 Mercedes-Benz 220SE

Very nice original and unmolested car.Runs well. Drives and shifts well with its automatic transmission. This is a perfect investment quality car with no rust. The paint is in very good shape with but a few normal paint nicks. No dents.
There are two small issues with the car. first is the muffler has some rust on the bottom holes on the bottom but is structurally sound. Everyone seems to be out of stock but promising more soon. It is quiet and could be driven this way for years. The second item is a rip in the boot at the top of the differential. The differential is full and does not leak. The tires are older Michelin with plenty of tread but a new set would be great as these are 20 years old. The current owner (estate) purchased the car in 1988 with 52 k on it. The car has been garage kept and the top is in excellent shape. The interior has no tears rips or adverse signs of wear. This car was listed a few months ago with just a few pictures and high reserve and went to 60k with many bidders and over 100 emails after the sale.
The leather is in great shape and the pictures speak for themselves. The car has a reconditioned fuel tank, rebuilt fuel pump, new oil and filter change and new spark plugs. It drives well.
The car is available for inspection on a lift for prospective buyers in Bethesda Md. 2 miles off of the DC beltway.
we will work with buyers shipper to help accommodate loading etc.
