Description:

1977 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

I have for auction a real nice 1977 Mercedes Benz 450-SL Convertible. The car only has 65000 miles on it, not even broken in yet. The car has been very well maintained over the years. This is a great driver car for Florida and a blast to drive, everyone complements you and wish they were in it. I got this car for my wife as a surprise, however she didn't care for it as much as I did. It kinda fell into the category of buying your wife a vacuum cleaner for X-Mass. LOL. I was hoping she would like it, she still prefers her SUV. I am listing everything I know the car needs and what I did to date. These are all things you will see when you come look at the car. I never could understand why people try and lie about things that are wrong with a vehicle, they are used, things go wrong and need to be up-dated at times, and things do wear. The car comes with the hard top. The glass needs to be replaced in the rear of the hard top if you chose to, it has a crack, also needs the headliner replaced, I got prices on both and they were not bad, only reason I didn't replace them was I was not planning to use the hard top. The AC works, the person I got the car from installed a on /off switch for the AC, I plugged the AC back in as it was from the factor and it worked fine for 2 days, then it kinda started to come on & off, so I re-plugged it back into the switch. I found the part on e-bay and was buy it now for $65.00 up to $100.00 for the part. The convertible has a small tear and was sealed up, honestly it can be done a lot better and would then be hardly noticeable, unless you just want a new top. The rubber around the drivers door window needs to be replaced or just re-glued. The side pouch in the drivers door needs to be re-glued. I think that takes care of the things you may want to address. I put a new rubber trim seal around the trunk. The car is a great diver, and very fun to drive, it turns heads. The white paint shines nice. All the body is solid and looks great. The interior is in excellent condition for the age as you can see in the photo's. No tears or bad fading in the dash or seats. It has a huge trunk. The car is very fast, if you know these cars, you know what I mean. The car has a great sound. It has a custom walnut shifter. Ice cold AC. All the tires match and have plenty of life left in them. The car runs great and has know issues, no oil leaks, does not burn oil or smoke at all. We just went back & forth to Mount Dora and had a blast driving it. It has custom Zenetti chrome rims. I don't the originals. Like I said if you are looking to re-store it or keep it for a great fun, comfortable, very quick fun car to drive, you won't be disappointed. After all it is a Mercedes, hard to beat the way these cars were built. I know what the car list for in all books, and if you are looking for this car so do you. We all look at the costs before buying or selling. I am asking what I feel is a good fair price based on the mileage and over all condition of the car. If you are wanting this car and plan on taking care of the little things it needs I am sure you make a decent profit. I am also open to offers. This is a real nice car, I just want to be as honest as I can. Car is sold as is with no warranty.
This is NADA bellow.

On Feb-02-18 at 06:11:39 PST, seller added the following information:

I few people have asked if I will ship this car. NO. I am not able to ship. If you want to deal with shipping that is fine.
Only other question was asking if the car had rust. I am not an expert but the under carriage looks to be in great shape.
I see small spots kinda like a small bubbles on hood, only like 2 dime size and 5 - 6 small ones. Looks like just surface, not rusted through.
Like I said I got the car for my wife to drive, not a show car. I personally think it's a beautiful car or I would not have got it.
Last, for some reason it shows I will take a check, NO CHECKS, $500.00 Pay-Pal deposit, the rest in cash at time of pick up
unless prior arrangements have been made in advance. Thanks
