Happy New Year! Wishing you all the best in 2018!
This is a 1971 Mercedes Benz 250C Coupe in a rare two tone paint color scheme. It is definitely one of the most attractive with a black top and silver grey metallic bottom.
This car has been in Los Angeles, California since the day it was delivered on Feb 27, 1971 to the Downtown LA Motors Mercedes Benz dealership.
The car came from the factory with a two tone paint scheme. The dealer then installed a black vinyl roof over the painted black top. This was usually done in California and was a called a dealer "California option". The chrome accents on the fender wells were also dealer installed.
The 250C has all of the original paper with the car! The original window sticker, data card, owners metal data plate, owners registration card etc etc. The papwer work that comes with this car is complete and extremely impressive. Its not often you see this.
Beverly Laurel Auto in Los Angeles recently completed over 5k worth of repairs to this car. It also has new Tiger Paw whitewalls with less than 100 miles on them.
This car really needs the right owner to bring her back to life. It will need a complete restoration to make it a show car and less so if you are looking only for a daily driver. The under carriage on this car is really in remarkable excellent condition. The paint is not original as someone repainted at one point though overall the body is nice with some imperfections around the car and a dent in the right front fender. There are two spots on the paint that I have photographed that will need attention. The headliner in the car has a tear in the left rear post and the dash is cracked. I do have an uncracked black dash that I will include with the car. The power windows all work and it has a new windshield. The vinyl rood has one quarter size spot that will need to be patched if you want to keep the original top.
Please feel free to ask any questions about the car.
