1980 Mercedes-Benz G-Class
I bought this 1990 Mercedes GD 300 (W461) on ebay from the LAW AUTO GROUP a few months ago for over $29K (close to $32K with tax and shipping). The Law Auto Group dealership appeared to be in good standing with excellent reviews in google and on ebay giving me confidence I was dealing with a reputable company. The vehicle was advertised as in good condition with NO RUST ISSUES (See original ad).MY FULL DISCLOSURE: I thought I was buying a collectible just to find out after the vehicle was inspected, that the frame to body mounts was so rusted out and separation apparent (see photos) my mechanic advised me to take a cab home, this vehicle is unsafe to drive. If you buy a car from this company on ebay and find the listing disappear after using "BUY IT NOW," I'd say watch out, this dealership is sleek and very capable of FRAUD.... you can't leave a negative feedback because it would appear the listing never existed - Additionally, do not sign any contract that, in the event of dispute, it goes to arbitration with Better Business Bureau - it only means you can't sue them. The VIN number is not valid in USA as the vehicle was made in Europe. This car has been sitting in my garage since purchase gathering dust - if you want a project car, here's your chance... the sad part is, I had parts waiting for this truck to go 4 wheeling as it took almost a month to deliver - new tires - shocks - stereo, etc.
