1973 Mercedes-Benz 400-Series 450SL

1973 Mercedes Benz Convertible / Roadster. This is a good running and driving Mercedes. It has 124,000 original miles. The original owner's manual is in the glovebox. This week, I drove the Mercedes just over 100 miles. It performed perfectly in stop and go traffic and at 75mph on the freeway. I have a clear title in my name. Please look closely at all of the photos. The previous owner entered the Mercedes in two local Utah car shows and won "Best Original" in 2015 and "Sponsor Choice" in 2016. These plaques are in the trunk. You could fly in to Salt Lake City and drive this Mercedes anywhere in the country. It has practically new tires, doesn't smoke or make unusual sounds, and holds a good temperature while being driven. It comes with both the hardtop and the convertible top as well as a car cover. This is the last year of the smaller bumpers and less smog restrictions.It was the transition year from the 350SL to the 450SL. I highly value my positive feedback score on Ebay and I want the new owner to know exactly what they are getting. With this in mind, I will point out in some detail the negative aspects of the car. 1. The white paint is week. It has some fading on the hood and several chips. The location in the center of the trunk where to hard top attaches has some surface rust. The hardtop is heavy and the attaching stud has touched this area and chipped away the paint which has exposed the metal to surface rust. All the glass is in good condition and the side windows roll up and down properly. The plastic window in the convertible top has been cracked due to sun damage. 2. The passenger's side exterior door handle doesn't work properly. The door opens and closes properly by using the interior door handle. The exterior handle should be replaced or repaired. The handle is available on Ebay. 3. The floors are dry and not rusted, but the thick undercoating is cracked and chipped in one small area. Again, please look closely at all of the photos. This is a solid, good running 450SL, and the reserve is very low. I will gladly assist the shipper you select in shipping the Mercedes anywhere in the world.
