Description:

1969 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series

You are bidding on a unique year of the Mercedes 220D, which was styled by the automotive designer Paul Bracq.

I owned this car for over four years. I really enjoy driving it to the point I was going to take it with me overseas.

About the car

The car needs the rear right control arm. The engine runs well without issues and also its starts right away.I drove it out of Maryland and it cruises smoothly on highway. The mileage is original; I used to drive it to work, Gym, and to school from time to time but I did not drive it more than 2000 miles a year to not break the insurance terms of 2000 miles a year. The widows are functional, the car had couple rust spots and were fixed with aluminum signs. The front and rear window seals have been replaced to avoid any water leak into the car, which costed a few hundred dollars. The seats are Ok for the car's age (see pic). This model comes with AC but it does not work. The battery is less than 2 years. The glow lights, odometer, oil indicator, gas indicator, and temperatures indicator are working fine except the clock. The glow plugs (Bosch) are 6 months old. The engine mounts were replaced with the starter. The heater works with an adjuster as the original plug stopped working.

As you can see from the picture, this is not a parting out car. If someone has time to spend on this car, it can be a car for life. I will be sending with it all the paper work that came with it and original books I have (These books have a value) and a small box with the parts I have.

The car is listed for local and out of state customers. The buyer is responsible for shipping or pickup.

The picture reflect the current condition if the car, so please be sure that you commit to the sale.
