The W111 Mercedes Benz 250 SE Coupe was the last of the truly hand built Mercedes with just an exiguous thirteen cars rolling off the production line each week. This particular example is painted in the lovely Papyrus White over a deep navy blue interior. The paintwork of the car is its Achilles heel but is still very presentable. One other minor issue with the exterior is dry rotted window seals on the front and rear windows. The interior of the car is in fantastic condition with very little wear or imperfections noticeable, he only thing to note is some separation issues on the rear side panels. Between 1996 to 2004 this 250SE went through a light restoration that included stripping the car down to bare metal and repainting in the original Papyrus White, efinishing the headliner and reupholstering the seats. This work all took place in Southern California, here the car spent its life up until 2008. This example has an automatic transmission and the 2.4 Liter six-cylinder engine, he car runs and drives wonderfully. The wheels are in good shape with only some minor blemishes on the wheel covers, he tires are in good shape as well. Overall this is a great driver quality W111 that will bring its new owner a great deal of joy and comfort in the years to come.
