Mercedes-Benz 300SD - Runs Like New !!!

1984 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series SD

I have a Real Classic S-Class Mercedes-Benz 300SD

Car runs and works like real Luxury Limousine. Smooth, Soft and very comfortable. Engine is strong and works like new.

A lot of parts was old and not working or wrong parts installed. Engine is 5 cylinder Turbo Diesel - needed Glow plug relay for 5 glow plugs (had installed from different model 190D for 4 cylinders)because of that it was really hard to start the engine specially when it was cold. Shut off valve was same old as car - replaced it and now shutting down the engine is not a problem. Breaks work perfect - changed break fluid and Rotors with pads - Front & Rear. No rust around front and rear windows, new Rubber Gasket for Rear window.

It's a long story what was replaced and how hard it was to accomplish, same as list of work I did and parts I replaced.

Here is short version list of replaced parts:

New Oil, filters and Transmission Oil & filter,

New Air Filter,

New Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors, New Brake Pads - Front/Rear

New Rear, Front break caliper Kit,

New Glow Plug Relay, Glow Plugs x5,

New Shut off valve,

New Shut off valve vacuum,

New shocks,

New Engine mounts, shock absorber's (left and right),

New Vacuum pump gasket,

New Crankshaft sensor,

New Idler arm bushing kit, lower arm bushing kit.

New Transmission mounts,

New Rear windshield Rubber Gasket + inspection and cleaning and fixing rusted spots on the frame around rear window,

Inspected front wind shield for rust,

New EURO Headlamps with LED's,

New LED Tail lights except for (Turning lights bulbs).

New Interior LED Lights (reading, Dome, Door Courtesy lights, Trunk & Glove Compartment).

Total cost of replaced parts: $ 3539.45 (excluding labor cost).

Genuine Cassette Becker/Mercedes Radio (not working),

Right now engine even when cold starts with 1/4 of key turn - (1/10 of a second),

Strong and economic engine -

Highway: 21 Mpg/ highway, 17 Mpg/City.

P.s. Title status is: Rebuild/Salvage

Reason for that is - One of the owners before me, had an issue with odometer and from that point (01/31/2008) car was registered as Rebuilt/Rebuildable. Car fax is not showing any accidents, fleet/taxi usage or water damage.
