Description:

1983 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class SL

This 1983 Mercedes 380SL is a 3 owner car that has been well cared for its entire life. The last owners had the car for 11 years only using it innice weather for cruising around on the weekends. They put about 15k miles on it and it was always garage kept. The car has been well maintained and I have a stack of records going back to when it was nearly new as well. Over the years it has had injectors, windshield, fuel pump, timing chain, water pump, gaskets, seals, guides, etc replaced. It starts, runs, drives, and stops well. The paint appears to be original, is in great condition, and has a very nice shine. There are a few small scratches on the the panel between the top and the trunk from the hard top being put on and taken off over the years. The jacking points and undercarriage are rust free. There is a little rust on the right front fender above the rocker trim and by the front bumper and the left front fender has a minor scratch from a previous owner's incident with the mailbox that is shown in the pictures. The wheels are all in great condition with no curb rash and the tires have plenty of tread. The interior is in really nice condition with no rips or tears in the seats and the carpet is very clean. There are a couple cracks on the dash which is typical for these SL's. It has had an aftermarket stereo installed. The soft top is innice shape but needs the isinglass small side windows replaced as they got stiff and each side has a split. The original color match hard top is also included as shown in the pictures.
Overall this is a very nice example of the Mercedes SL that can be bought and enjoyed as-is for many years.
