1969 Maserati Other Mexico 4.7

European Motor Studio is very pleased to offer this absolutely breathtaking 1969 Maserati Mexico 4700 Vignale Coupe. Chassis number 564 is a very rare matching numbers 4.7 liter V8 which is one of only 175 produced and is equipped with power steering and wire wheels. Chassis 564 is finished in a stunning shade of Verde Indy Metallizatto over Senape and was completely dismantled for the repaint. All of the chrome pieces top to bottom were sent out and re-plated and all of the rubber trim and seals were replaced with new factory parts along with brand new Michelin XWX period tires. The paint finish s stunning, free from any visible blemishes or imperfections, the body is beautiful and straight and rust free. All of the chrome is original to the car with the original factory numbers stamped on them and have just been re-plated. All of the original body panel numbers were all present when the car came apart for paint. There were no signs of any accident damage or repair underneath the paint, and no signs of rust or any previous rust. The undercarriage is very original and clean and free from any rust or previous damage or repair. The interior aside from the brand new Wilton wool carpets, is all original with a beautiful patina and lovely original leather and wood smell. The headliner is still in beautiful condition and free from any sag or stains. The matching numbers 4.7 V8 engine has just undergone a thorough tune and routine maintenance. The carbs have been rebuilt and tuned and the engine starts right up and runs and idles smoothly, free from any smoke or hesitation. This Mexico accelerates quickly and gracefully with a beautiful growl through all of the gears smoothly and free from any issues. The gearbox is smooth and free from any grinding in the gears or slipping in the clutch. Cruising down the freeway at 80 miles per hour this Mexico sits at 2900RPM without any signs of suspension or steering faults, the car tracks straight and the suspension is smooth. All of the electronics appear to be operating and functioning in the car. The car has just had recent electrical work to ensure the interior, exterior and dash lights are operating properly. Even the gauges are reading correctly (except the clock). Showing 53,600 miles on the clock (believed to be 100% correct) this Mexico has just come out of a long term private Southern CA collection. Chassis 564 is a Euro delivered 4.7 that made its way into Montreal Canada sometime in the mid 70’s where it remained until the mid 1990’s. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a stunning and very unique Maserati, rarely seen for sale. Leaving the factory in the rarest configuration with power steering, 4.7 liter V8 and wire wheels, this Mexico is a true classic and one of the prettiest made Maserati’s to come out of Bologna.
