Description:

1941 Lincoln Continental

Only 850 made! Genuine Classic as designated by the Classic Car Club of America. We acquired it from the estate of a meticulous collector that has been a customer of ours for many years. He had it restored to look new about 20 years ago, it still looks new! Very luxurious car then and now.
EXTERIOR: Very dramatic design, especially for 1941. This car was restored 20 years ago to better than new condition and it still holds up really well today. The body appears to be excellent, it is absolutely straight. There is no rust or damage. Everything fits really well, the paint is polished to a smooth glass finish. I'm looking at the reflection of the door and it looks a mile deep. There are some minor imperfections in the paint but nothing that detracts from the appearance. It has very unique push button door openers. This car started the term "continental kit". The tire in back became a popular custom add on to other cars. The chrome was all restored. It has optional bumper gaurds. There is Lincoln script on the hubcaps, the trim rings match the trim along the bottom of the car. It has reproduction white wall tires. It vent windows that open front and back. The stainless window frames have seams, polished smooth. It has optional fog lamps.
INTERIOR: I feel special sitting in this car, it is so luxurious inside. The upholstery is done phenomenally well. It is literally glove soft leather with the tan ripcord inserts on the seats and door panels. There's even a leather pillow made for the back seat. All of the interior trim is gold in color. The faux woodgrain dash is beautiful. The plastic steering wheel is excellent. The gauges all work, even the clock is ticking. This has the optional radio, heater, turn signals. The soft cloth headliner and matching visors are excellent. The carpet has bound edges. Cool push button door openers. Seat belts have been installed in the front.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The V-12 motor was completely rebuilt at time of restoration. It runs whisper quiet. Very well detailed too. All of the finishes are proper and fresh. It has correct Ford stamped hoses, correct clamps, cloth wrapped wires etc. It is obvious it was all apart and restored down to the last nut and bolt.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is completely lined in carpet with bound edges.
UNDERSIDE: The bottom of this car has been cleaned and painted. The floors look completely solid with zero rot. The chassis was apart and restored. There isn't a bolt that couldn't be removed with a wrench. Bottom of the motor is clean and painted. The transmission looks like it was apart and restored too. The brake system was restored, hoses still look new. E-brake system is complete, master cylinder looks restored. Exhaust system still looks rock solid.
Only a few cars of the 40s are true classics, most were from the 20s and 30s. That makes this car a timeless investment. It can also participate in the prestigious CCCA caravans and events. The design of this car was and is highly regarded, not only as one of the finest of the 20th century but also recognized as artwork by the art community.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
