1949 Lincoln - Suicide Door - great running car

Description:
You are bidding on a 1949 Lincoln EL Series, suicide-door model. It is a super-straight, very solid all-original body car, originally from Dallas, Texas. The Lincoln runs and drives and shifts excellent and rides very smoothly, with good brakes and good exhaust. The original motor was removed and replaced with a 1972 Cadillac 472 c.i. motor and transmission, with the automatic shifter on the floor. It was done in a professional way with an aftermarket motor-mount kit used in the engine swap with none of the original chassis, frame or radiator support being altered in any way, so it could easily be put back to original if desired. The car was professionally repainted in a black cherry color which still shines very nicely. All of the original floors and frame are in excellent shape with no rot and is very clean underneath. The original gas tank was removed a couple years back with the intent to clean and seal the inside and a temporary 12-gallon fuel cell was installed in the trunk which it currently runs off of (I have the original gas tank which I will send with the car). All of the chrome and trim is in nice driver quality condition and all of the glass is in great shape with the exception of the passenger side vent window which has some cracks in it, but is still intact and opens and closes fine. The original seats and door panels were recovered like-new when it was restored but is now showing its age here and there, but it is still very presentable, with the material on the front seat being the worst, for which I had placed a slip cover over for the time being, but is still very presentable overall. This Lincoln is a great running vehicle which is used often during the summer for car shows and leisurely drives. It is not a show car, but as I said, a very nice driver which gets compliments and looks everywhere it goes. Lots of Ford and Mercury this style around but the Lincolns seem harder to come by. I have a clear, open registration/title in my name that is ready to transfer for new ownership. Sold as-is being that it is 70-years-old. Any further questions feel free to message me.
