1976 Lincoln Mark IV One Owner From New Only 17,530 Miles From New Entirely Original, Unmolested, Rust-Free SURVIVOR VIDEO WITH LISTING VIN: 6Y89A865630 6: 1976 Model Year Y: Wixom, Michigan assembly plant 89: 2dr Hardtop Mark IV A: 460ci 4V V8 865630: Serial Number Body: 2dr Hardtop (65D) Color: Tan (6ULZ) Trim: Saddle Leather with Vinyl Option (BZ) Transmission: C6 Automatic (U) Axle: 2.75:1 (2) District Sales Office: Chicago, IL (41) We purchased this fantastic '76 Mark IV from the original owner, a gentleman in the Chicago suburbs. Since new, the car has served as his around-town... weekend car, always garage-kept and well-serviced. This is not one of those "garage finds" that was just pulled from extended storage. This car is a mechanically sound, cosmetically near-perfect, true sub-20k-mile survivor. Exterior: - Please take a look at the video along with the listing, as the car is shown in detail. There is very, very little to criticize on this car. There is a small ding in the mid-line trim on the passenger door, as well as a couple very minor chips. Super, super impressive level of preservation. Paint is original throughout, as confirmed with an elcometer. No panels have ever been removed, repaired, or resprayed. No signs of age in the paint whatsoever. No checking, discoloring, nothing of the sort. Pinstripes are still nice and intact. The color is technically just called "Tan”, but it looks very similar to Ford's Phoenician Yellow. - Top is in like-new condition. No dryness, fraying, scuffs, etc. - Chrome is all in great shape. Mirror-like and free of any oxidation or damage. - Wheels are free of any curb rash or oxidation. Michelin whitewalls are in nice shape, with no dryness and tons of tread remaining. DOT A3NX016. - Glass is all clear and crack free, as are light lenses. Original glass still has the factory Ziebart undercoating sticker on it. Interior: - Again, please defer to the photos and video. Interior is extremely clean and well-preserved. Original carpet is still nice and plush, with no fraying or discoloring. Seats are fantastic. No burst seams, missing buttons, or significant scrapes or scuffs. Seatbelts in the rear are actually still in the factory plastic. Headliner is nice, clean, and tight. Door panels are in great shape; no kicked-open markings, but there is a hairline crack in the plastic at the forward corner of the door panel window control panel. - Gauges are all functional, as are the dash lights. Odometer is functional and the reading of just over 17,500 is accurate. All lights and signals inside and out are functional, as are power windows and locks. Fan/heat/defrost are all functional. R12 air conditioning does kick on and holds a charge, but we know the refrigerant level is low in there. It has not been converted to R134a. AM/FM/8Track radio is functional, as is the power antennae. The only interior item that does not seem to be working is the Cartier analog clock in the gauge cluster. Under the Hood / Underbody: - The car is in good shape underneath. The factory Ziebart undercoating has served its purpose. No through rust, all original metal. No previous rust repair or damage repair. - Car runs and drives extremely well. Every bit as well as you would hope from a one-owner, 17k mile survivor. Ride quality is outstanding, and the car coasts along in silence. Extremely comfortable and easy to drive. Excellent long-haul choice. The car starts right up, idles cool and steady, pulls through the gears with no hesitation, shifts smoothly, tracks straight, and brakes straight and effectively. - Car will come with the original title, owners manual, registration docs over the years, as well as a couple minor service receipts.
