This 1987 Lincoln Mark VII has been in my family since NEW. It was purchased by my Grandmother in December 1986 off the showroom floor. It has a dealer installed Carriage Roof that was a $1,395.00 option. The canvas is in excellent condition because the car has been stored in a garage it's entire life. I have a lot of documentation for this car. Including the Original dealer invoice as well as some others. Because it's a Lincoln it is loaded with plenty of options such as AC cruise control auto dimming headlights as well as many others. This car has been well cared for by my family since it was purchased. It has never been wrecked or out in snow and mostly driven on fair weather days. If you are a fan of these cars and are looking for one that's been well cared for and has NOT been in the hands of many owners this is the ONE for you. Also if you know these cars well you may be familiar with some of it's weak points. It has one of them that I am aware of and that is the Dreaded Overdrive Problem. Ford put a plastic bushing on its AOD transmissions during the time this car was produced. And that bushing has broken off and rendered the OD (overdrive) inoperable. All other gears work as well as reverse. This can be fixed with a rebuild or by any other means that a buyer might choose at cost to the buyer. I want to be Fair and Honest in my description of this car and don't feel this takes all that much away from the car as a whole. The AC (air conditioning) also does NOT function. R12 system and may function with a recharge.
I will leave the Trans and AC issues up to the buyer to decide what action to take. As a whole,the Lincoln is a great car and with a little work can be ALL you want it to be. I will be happy to answer any questions and help with shipping to make this a smooth transaction.
