1968 Lincoln Continental Sedan

You are bidding on a 1968 Lincoln Continental 4 door suicide door hard top sedan. The rear doors open backwards! This car is in amazing mechanical and cosmetic condition. Brand new bodywork and a gorgeous new black PPG base coat clear paint job. This car is incredibly straight and has a mirror like finish. Inside the original door panels were retained but all other upholstery has been replaced including the head liner, package Trey, both front and rear seats, carpet and the dash. Floors were solid like most Arizona cars! While the interior was stripped, all of the power windows were serviced and repaired to insure operation. The vacuum door locks were removed and replaced with high power electric power door locks with a remote keyless entry fob (two fobs included) a retro sound radio was installed into the factory dash with no cutting and looks right at home. Rockford fosgate speakers and a hidden 800watt powered sub woofer under the front seat were added for a great high quality stereo system. Subwoofer has an adjustable volume knob under the seat to adjust the bass level to your taste! The stereo has an aux cable to plug in your USB devise or phone so you can enjoy any of your favorite tunes. All of the interior lighting works! Custom wood steering wheel with original Lincoln logo installed! The air conditioning system was completely replaced accept for the evaporator in the dash which was properly flushed and pressure checked. All new modern condenser, dryer, lines were added. The AC compressor has also been updated to a new sanden style unit for increased performance and this unit does not require as much power and fuel from the engine to run. Complete new upholstery in the truck with removable panels to access the factory jack which is included! Under the factory air cleaner is a new Edelbrock carburetor, a new cap and rotor, msd performance wires and a Mallory coil. The engine was in the car when I got it and running great so we simply disassembled the tins and painted them to match with the same base coat clear Ppg paint and detailed the rest to match. The engine compartment is clean and presentable. The car fires up every time, runs amazingly smooth and has good power for a car of this magnitude. A brand new hd industrial battery was installed. The automatic transmission shifts properly through all of its gears as it should. Over all the car rides and drives nicely for a vehicle of its age. A complete dual exhaust system was built using flowmaster mufflers and has a deep tone but is not obnoxious inside the car. 22in chrome wheels with brand new tires round out this beautiful car. Wherever it goes the thumbs ups follow! This car gets tons of attention!! The braking system was inspected, cleaned and the brake booster replaced to ensure safe stops every time. Brake drums and calipers have been painted black to match and look clean through the wheels. All of the chrome and stainless trim is original. There is some pitting in some of the chrome pot metal pieces (see photos)but it all still has good shine and looks great on the beautiful black car. It could always be re chromed later if you want to make the car 110% after driving it has a couple of drips from the front of the engine and a couple under the steering box typical of any early car but they do not affect it's performance. Pictures do not do this black beauty justice!
