1975 Land Rover Other

It's a 1975 FFR ex-MOD army truck. The wheel base is 109 inch. It has a 3" lift and sits on parabolic leaf springs. It has Rock sliders and reinforced gas tank plates. The 2.25 engine has been replaced by a 3.5 V8 Auto gearbox and transfer casefrom a 1988 EFI RRC. 90% of thewiring loom has been replaced. The interior has been modified to accept the larger bell housing, utomatic gearbox lever and diff lock. It runs on two 12 Volt batteries tapped to give 24V for most of the electrics and 12 Volt for the engine. The two batteries are balanced through an 80 amp batter equalizer. It has a CB radio. The front grill has been brought forward by 5" to allow for the longer engine. The standard fan has been replaced by an electric fan running off the engine coolant sensor. The transmission has an after market cooler. The fuel pump is a high performance unit, ounted on the inside of the rear fender for easy access. The oil filter has been remotely mounted fro easy access. It has a rear view camera for use when the fabric covers are lowered. It has a 9000 lbs Warn winch fitting to the front. The tow frame in the picture is no longer fitted. It has two 10 gallon gas tanks: runs on the left and the right can be electrically pumped into the left via a switch, o its aback upfor long trips. I'll throw in a Pollack duel tank electronic switch with the deal, s well as several spare brake shoes, 4V bulbs, il filters etc...

I bought the truck from a nice chap called Steve in Utah then spent 5 years getting it how I wanted it. I am now returning to the UK and can't take it with me, therwise I would not be selling it.

It's great fun to drive and attracts attention where ever I take it.

One chap asked about rust. I've had the car down to its frame and replaced any rusty bits I found with new metal.
