THE STORY:

A customer of ours showed up at the door one day in his brand new 2016 Heritage Edition 110 - one of the last classic Defenders to roll off the Land Rover assembly line - and asked us, "Can you build me a copy of THIS car, to bring to the U.S.?" To get the project started, he proudly boasted that he "already had a full set of OEM Heritage seats, so... why not build a car around them?"

After building many beautiful Defenders with all kinds of modern upgrades, stylish colors, sporting the newest wheels and nicest interiors - we were challenged and intrigued by the idea to go CLASSIC, and build something honoring the Heritage of the Defender 2016.

But before leaving that day he made one more request: It needed to have an LS engine with automatic transmission.

That challenged us even more, although maybe 'triggered' is a more appropriate word. We have done many full restorations with LS engines, even supercharged 650HP, and we love doing them - Because the end result is always astonishing.

That is where the path started.

We searched until we found just the right rust-free car, disassembled it down to the last bolt, and began the process of building it back up again. The frame was already perfect, but we media blasted it and re-coated it from front to back. New latest model PUMA 2016 doors with power windows and lower locks were installed, a new transfer case with limited slip differential and extra oil sump, and even new limited slip differentials, heavy duty shafts and hubs were used to cope with the increase in power. And let's not forget: Our customer-supplied the original Heritage Edition seats.

After 6 months and 1500 hours of craftsmanship, the car was ready for shipment to our partner in the US for it's heart transplant: a Brand New LS3 450HP Corvette Engine.

Our client had to wait nearly 9 months, but it was worth it. According to him, the end result was "better than I expected, better than my factory Heritage" and was "everything Land Rover should have made for their last Celebration Series." These were his words, not ours, but we were extremely honored.

The car has driven just over its first 1,000 miles and the owner, a car collector, has given us the opportunity to offer it to our clients before he moves on to the next build.

This one-of-a-kind Defender is in the US, has a clean title, and is available for immediate delivery. No waiting list, it is ready to go. We are convinced you won't find a better Defender in the USA, offering classic looks in perfect combination with the highly sought-after LS3 power plant.

Of course we can imagine there are certain accessories you would like to add. Feel free to share what you envision, and whenever this is within the borders of the philosophy of this build, we can add them. Just let us know, and we'll get back to you.
