NOTE: THIS VEHICLE IS LOCATED IN DENIA, SPAIN, but I ship tothe USA. Please check my feedback, and please read the entire listing before bidding.
I am an American, living in Spain, and I sell and export vehicles to the USA regularly. Although shipping costs are not included in the price of the sale, I work every month with an established worldwide shipper and will work directly with the buyer to arrange delivery to the USA. I will drop the vehicle off at the port of Valencia for you at no additional cost, prepare all the proper documentation for shipping to the USA, and handle all the US customs and importation on the USA side.
If you would like me to handle the shipping, customs paperwork, and everything for you, the cost is a flat-rate of $1900, port-to-port, to your choice of New York, Baltimore, MD, Jacksonville, FL or Freeport (Galveston), TX. No additional costs. No work on your part. You just pick the car up from the port, fully cleared and released.
Once the vehicle is in your possession, you will also have all the documents you need to register the car in any of 49 states. (California excepted.) I can even arrange transportation within the USA, from the port to your driveway. In short, I am here to help with every step of the process of delivering this vehicle to you.
You are of course welcome to fly here and test the car for yourself before you bid, but if that is not feasible, I will be happy to take additional photos, videos, etc. and send them to you. Whatever you need. We can speak on the telephone, or by Skype, so you can see the vehicle in real time before you bid.
If you have any questions, please ask and I will post as many answers here as possible.

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
Purchased new in Tenerife, it has spent its entire life in the Canary Islands and has a natural and charming patina that comes from careful but regular use. Originally Marine Blue, it received a color change nearly 20 years ago to its current Sage Green with White roof, and although the bodywork is straight and free from major damage, the paint is showing its age in places. The clear coat is peeling on the front fenders and engine cover, and there are scratches and nicks here are there. We would have painted it, but it looks so damn good as it is we didn't have the heart. We're suckers for proper patina, and although some people try, you just can't fake it. This truck has it, and just looks... right.
The black seats are new and perfect, the rest of the interior is as honest and correct as the exterior, and the (removable, in case you ever feel the urge) Pickup top is in excellent condition with clear glass and no injuries. The bed is in lovely shape, and can be used as it sits, or removable and folding rear jump seats could be installed to increase passenger carrying capacity when desired.
The undercarriage is entirely rust free, and there is no rust in the bulkheads or floors, and only superficial corrosion on the bottoms of the doors. White wheels are new and allow the use of tubeless rubber, and the tires are brand new, slightly oversized, and when combined with the fender extensions give it a rough and ready stance with improved ground clearance and excellent attitude. It is, throughout, in magnificent condition, largely original, and looks the business.
WHAT'S IT LIKE TO DRIVE?
A fantastic driver, the diesel engine starts immediately, even when cold, with little warming of the glow plugs needed and no significant smoke. The engine pulls willingly with great torque and revs freely, and the gearbox is tight and notchy, exactly as it should be. Clutch and brakes are strong with normal pedal travel, and the steering is light and direct, with no issues. All lights and gauges work as intended, and suspension compliance is excellent. All locks and latches function normally.
Off road, engaging 4WD will allow the 109 to muscle its way through most commonly encountered terrain, including modestly deep sand and mud. Approach and departure angles are legendary, and the low center of gravity allows rather astonishing tipover angles. With typical Land Rover competence, and even with no specialized modifications or equipment this truck could be used to reach remote camping spots, fishing holes, or surf breaks, and bring a ton of gear along for the adventure.
In short, it is extraordinarily easy to operate, and can be driven daily, in any conditions, by anyone. A well kept and mechanically perfect 109 in the rare and desirable pick; truck body style, that is ready to enjoy wherever you want to enjoy it.
