With years as a technician and restorative artist gone by in a blur, have seen and done it all with Range Rover Classics. This fine example has made me feel like I have just experienced the Range Rover magic for the first time. The joy that comes from ownership of a vehicle such as this nearly indescribable as it appeals to multiple senses simultaneously. Range Rover Designer Charles Spencer King once quipped that a Range Rover was “…more fun than money in the bank!” I think in this instance, SK’s words would be greatly understated… Now, nto it! With just a slight step on the accelerator you are off in a flash. Once inside, he decadent Dark Sable Black comes to life. It is nearly impossible to keep a black interior looking that nice – the devotion here was near fanatical. Admittedly, he seats – both front and rear – are as plush and comfortable as they were when new. Religiously treated with factory Connelly leather care, hey are a testament to the lasting qualities of 1st class materials properly cared for. The leather seating surfaces themselves resemble the wear of a broken in baseball glove. Loved, ared for, ell enjoyed. All bolsters, eating surfaces, nd arm rests are intact. The carpets are soft and clean, nd the Range Rover All-Weather LWB floor mats are no doubt responsible! They too are in great condition. There are no panel rattles, lunks, angs, r noises. You simply sail along in vaulted British luxury as intended. Note the highlighted pictures of the door sills, pper tailgate corner, rches and jambs. These are all critical areas for corrosion on the Range Rover Classics and they are present here in near perfect condition. The vehicle is proudly drip free and you should consider it nice driveway safe! The exceptional paint is highly reflective, iquid smooth and as pictured, olishes up great with minimal effort. She is overall, n excellent condition, ith any blemish being entirely forgivable in my opinion. To recap, his is a straight, ot free, lean and comfortable Range Rover that I would be otherwise proud to own. The 1993 Model Year: This is a historic milestone for the Marque. The company name of “Range Rover of North America” became “Land Rover of North America” and any serious collector has an example from this moment in history. 1993 is when the LWB model was first introduced, long with perhaps the Range Rover’s most lasting innovation: Air Suspension. This particular example is a rarity even within that year. It began its life in Montpellier Red. A color that was not issued until 1994. The original owner had some serious weight to make that happen – the under bonnet bulkhead and inner wings still display the only remnants of this history. For practical reasons, he EAS was coil converted here – and retains the most enjoyed brand name in suspension conversions for Land Rover. Everything that would be “modern” in the Range Rover line was first introduced here and the finest vehicles from that time are a proud representative of that moment.
