For sale is one of the finest Land Rover Defender 110's you will find in North America. This beauty is a year in the making and started with the procurement of it in Northern Italy. It was then taken and completely torn down to the frame and fully rebuilt before leaving Europe and arriving to the US. To get to this point, I have a small story to tell, I LOVE the Land Rover Defender 110s. Of all my British cars (3 Jaguars, Bentley Mulsanne) this is by far the ride I cherish the most. I am selling it because I just bought two more vehicles (my wife has surrendered on the notion of convincing me to stop buying cars) and started with restoring another Land Rover Defender and German market Isetta so it is time for someone else to enjoy this beauty. My love for Land Rover Defender 110's began as a child as my fondest memories is my father placing my brother and I in the back of the Landie and having us hug the luggage as he took us on holidays in Northern Africa and all over Europe, so when I was fortunate to have the opportunity to do this for my boys, I took the opportunity and cherish the memories we have made in ours. This vehicle is a frame off restoration, the frame was blasted and coated, new gear box, transmission and engine completely overhauled, 4 brand new doors, new suspension, new upholstery. I have the pictures of the entire restoration to transfer to the new buyer to keep the collage. This vehicle has cleared US Customs (all numbers match in order to title the truck in the US), it has a clean and clear North Carolina title and no special conversions are needed in order to title it in your state. This vehicle runs and drives beautifully, it is a finely tuned brute. I love this vehicle and all the Defender 110's for their perfect imperfections, this is a wild animal, not a domesticated / declawed machine under the auspices of an SUV, this is the real Land Rover. It will and is capable of going just about anywhere. I was able to secure the factory air conditioning option for the Land Rover, it blows nice and cold, it is about as an advanced feature as you will find in these. The motor (original to the vehicle) is a V8, Land Rover originally used the motor's from GM back then, you may recognize it as an old Buick 350 V8. It has plenty of pickup, power and torque to get the job done.
Once I brought the vehicle to the US, I had LED lights added to the rack, a concealed LED bar on the front behind the grill and a backup camera installed. I also installed bluetooth audio so your phone in essence bluetooth syncs with the speakers in the car and acts as the radio, gives you a modern comfort without distorting the dash with an unsightly radio system.
The vehicle runs and drives tight, I have had it on a long road trip with no issues at all.
