1984 Jeep CJ

1984 Custom built Jeep CJ7. All the money was spent on this one. FYI Not asking 50k or even 40 priced to sell. (But you will spend over 50k today to have one built just like it) This CJ is amazing both on street and off pavement. *It's one of one built from the ground up. Built with all high dollar off road name brand parts and upgrades. Well over 25,000 spent just on the "running gear under it" and 6k more on outside body and items inside. That's 31,000 in part alone. * That's not counting the labor time or fab time to build it. Not counting the cost of a CJ to start with. It's powered today by a high performance Jeep 4.6 Stroker motor. Motor now has more than 2 1/2 times the HP than Jeep ever sold a CJ with back in the day. The stock Jeep 4.2 CJ motor came with 115 hp. ( it's now 270 plus horse power and delivers over 300 ft lb of torque) SEE VIDEO. It becomes a tank or mountain goat when you select 4 wheel low range and turn on the air lockers. Motor also fitted with Mopar fuel injection, Header, Flow master muffler & Cold air intake for added performance. Let's due the math. Over 6k invested on Stroker motor and motor upgrades. It's also been upgraded to 4 wheel power disc brakes. (11 inch rear rotor with large 11.78 rotor front. (It stops fast, straight and on a dime) = 1k more in 4 wheel disc brake upgrade. Jeep fitted with Currie custom built Ford 9 inch rear end. Solid one piece axles, gearing and (ARB Air lockers) in rear end = 4k rear end upgrade. Currie custom built Ford 9 inch "front end" also. Gearing, axles, ARB air locker and Warn hubs. Front end = 5k upgrade. (That's 9k just in parts for front and rear end) Add in the 6k for Motor = 15,000 so far. *Keep going. The Transmission is now the must have NP 435 4 speed manual transmission with compound low 1st gear. New clutch and clutch hardware also installed = 2k transmission upgrade. *The 4 by 4 Transfer case is now a Atlas 4.3 to 1 with twin stick giving you a ultra crawl low gear when needed off road.= 2,500 transfer case upgrade. New drive lines with double carden cv joints =1k upgrade. 4 inch spring suspension lift with 2 more inches added due to "reverse spring shackle spring set up = 1k more. * Then add FOUR Bistein long travel mono shocks with external gas chamber for extended off road shock travel. Extended shock hoops also added. The front shocks will close to 16 inch and extend to 32 inch long when shocks full extended = 1k in shock upgrade. That's 16 inch of shock travel when front end sway bay is disconnected off road. Yes it has off road sway bar disconnect. Then all steering parts upgraded. The steering tie rods now heavy duty 1 ton style with heim joints = Stronger. HD steering gear box support added to the heavy duty PSC power steering gear box = 1k upgrade. No steering slop, no steering free play, No lane drift or death wobble. SEE DRIVING VIDEO. I re set the front end and steering parts 4 times to get it perfect, ( Now one of the nicest driving CJ on this planet) SEE VIDEO a joy to drive! "You drive this CJ" Not it drive you like most of them do. Drive 10 others then drive this one! The bottom side is fitted with a ( Custom full under transmission & transfer case skid plate = covers both). Bottom of spring hangers also fitted with rock guard skid pads. The custom trans mounts & skid plate = 800 more. * Keep going CJ sits on 37 tall by 13.5 wide BF Goodrich Krawler T/A tires fitted on 15 inch black out wheels = 1,500. . That's over 4 feet of " tire rubber on the ground" under Jeep for superior traction and grip. Large 20 gal gas tank . That's 27,000 in parts and still going. ( In a nut shell this CJ was built for the best of both worlds. Drive around town with performance and looking. Or run the trails and climb with the best of the best. A true 4 by 4 Crawler that you don't need to trailer to enjoy it. (It will climb a tree if you could stick to it). It has everything a true must have hard core 4 wheel off road person would want or dreams about. *it's the Jeep that drives around others that can't go any further on the trails. The Jeep you call on to get others out of trouble. (All items listed above not factory stock OEM replacement parts) * Everything installed under this CJ today is better quality than anything Jeep CJ ever sold them with. You still need to buy a CJ to install everything in. *You still have labor cost to build it * Now lets add a few more cost items on outside of body and inside of Jeep). *Custom front and rear bumpers both built as air tanks storage when needed. On board air compressor to fill up tire and to run the ARB Air lockers. Air line disconnects and air line hoses for both bumpers SEE VIDEO. Front bumper is set up for tow bar and also fitted with a WARN 9,000 lb power winch. Body is fitted with front flat fenders for better tire clearance and longer suspension travel. Rear end and rear side of body fitted with body armor. Side of Jeep fitted with rock sliders and a side bull bar "steps" for easy in and out". Full roll cage for added safety. Full bolster front high back seats added to keep you secure in the seats. SEE VIDEO. Jeep fitted with LED Off road lighting on body and also "underside trail lighting". That's a total of 11 added LED off road lights. SEE PHOTOS & VIDEO. The factory emergency brake works for pavement use. All electrical in great working order. Yes the gas gauge even work. Hearter, wipers, horn work. Jeep is also custom fitted a 12 volt inline brake "LINE LOCK" to use as a ( OFF ROAD emergency brake) This line lock will hold Jeep in place on hill side if needed. Jeep also fitted with a GPS and NAV. Gps driven spedo read for correct MPH readout. *Jeep fitted with "bottom side Video Camera" to view the trail from bottom side of Jeep. *Extra hand throttle installed on shifter to better control throttle speed when crawling or driving bumpy terrain. SEE DRIVING VIDEO. * Jeep has CB radio overhead on roll cage and a Stereo inside the locking console. Due the math the outside body and inside items listed equal 6k more in parts. For a grand total of 31,000 in parts used in build. (Like i said it's one of one and loaded with all the good high end stuff). *I'm sure a have missed many more small items, but you get the idea.
