Description:

1965 Jeep Wagoneer

4wd 1965 Kaiser Jeep Wagoneer. This is one of the first of a generation of Jeep SUV's that would last fairly unchanged until 1991. It's rare to find these early ones in any shape, and this one in particular is unmolested. Owned by one family since new. It has only 89k miles on it. It was taken off the road 22 years ago for brake service, which never happened, so it has remained untouched ever since. Its surprisingly complete down to the hubcaps, headliner, rear rubber floor mats and service/owners books!
For power, it has a "Tornado" OHC Straight six mated to a "3 on the tree" 3 speed manual trans with rare power steering. I was told it was a good runner before being taken off the road, but I haven't even bothered to try and get it fired up. Condition-wise, it needs to be restored. It's got rust in areas that are pretty typical for SJ's: quarters, tail gate, rockers, and some spots on the floors. Overall it's more solid than many I've seen, and since these are gaining popularity, and since they remained the same body for almost 30 years, replacement parts are common/inexpensive.
Interior is complete and in very decent shape, given the age. The seats were covered in clear plastic from new, which is probably why they survived as well as they have. Windshield needs replaced.
See pics. they tell the story. This is a very cool, very complete truck that i had planned to resto-mod, but too many projects are testing my wife's patience, so i am getting rid of a few that i wont be able to get to soon.
The previous owner that I bought it off of years ago promised that he would find the title but never did, so it's sold with Bill of Sale only. I welcome any questions and would be happy to show you the Jeep by appointment.
Must be towed, since I recently had it moved, and i noticed that the brakes seems be locking up.
