I'm often asked where we find these clean, unique vehicles.A good friend cruises parking lots of retirement homes, Elks clubs, our V.F.W. Hall and the small-town back streets of rural areas near Seattle. He can spot a seatbelt slammed in a door a mile away...He'll notice when a nice old car or truck is driving with a turn signal left on just a little too long and he positively twitches with glee when a metal-bumpered vehicle passes by!Occasionally, one of our local collector contacts or a Jeep club member will part with a vehicle from their stable. If you're in the market for a clean vintage SUV, please give this nice Grand Wagoneer your kind attention.Feel free to contact me with questions or to discuss a sale before the end of the Ebay auction listing. My name is Mark and you can reach me directly by phone or text at 206/914-1173.

CONDITION:

The listing photos really tell the Grand Wagoneer's story. From them you'll see the rig has obviously been well cared for over the years. We've found absolutely NO evidence of any accidents, storm damage, insurance salvage, theft recovery, repossession or any other nasty negatives to cause you concern as the next caretaker! All the pics you see here were taken on January 18, 2019.

I take pride in these vehicles and feel you should know as much about them as possible. Accordingly, here's a list of the good and any small things I come across possibly needing attention: The four-wheel drive system works just as it should. With a flip of a switch the drive train goes to full 4x4 mode when needed, so most of the time you're able to remain in 2WD, not wearing out the strong Dana front axle components during summertime highway use.The overall exterior is in good condition. The rig wears factory-color shiny black paint, having been resprayed to its original color sometime in the past. There are no rock chips, clearcoat fading or major dents.Rust?Well, this classic Jeep HATES rust and you'd be hard pressed to find anything here to worry about! Because we rarely get snow west of the Cascades in western Washington, our winter roads are never salted.Climb over, under and throughout - I know you'll come up smiling!

One turn of the key and the strong 360 CID V8 fires right up with just a few pumps of the gas pedal. There's a nice, throaty rumble to the exhaust. The three-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly, just like it should, with NO slippage.Of course, there's a tilt steering column, power steering, brakes as well as power dual bucket seats and windows. All four stock alloy wheels are wrapped with name-brand radials, each with at least 75% - 80% remaining tread. It really is fun to drive anywhere you'd wish to go and you're guaranteed to get a "thumbs up" every time! We've enjoyed driving the Jeep as a shop vehicle, camping rig and get-around-town driver for the past two years.

Please take another look at the interior pics. Most often when I come across these vintage rigs, the first thing needed is a new headliner as they're often sagging or removed. This Grand Waggy arrived at our place with the headliner looking factory-new as the photo shows (even the rare overhead console was still in place). All the glass is great including the windshield. The original AMC cassette radio is still there. That's also unusual as most failed long ago and were replaced with a modern AM-FM.I'd plan to do the same as the tuner produces very little sound.Activate the dash switch and the tailgate glass moves up and down smoothly.About the only negatives we've encountered are as follows: the electric mirror switch toggle is missing (but both mirrors are easily adjusted manually) and the right rear passenger door sticks, making it difficult to open. As is typical on Grand Wagoneers, the power windows are slow to move. The driver's window gets the most use and does slide up and down quickly.I've never tried to open the sunroof (it does NOT leak). At the moment, the A/C doesn't blow cold (not sure what that will require, other than a service and recharge). After looking over my photos of the underside, I plan to have a new muffler and tailpipe installed this week before shipping the vehicle to the next caretaker. I don't know if the odometer reading represents actual miles as this vehicle is thirty years old and long past the mandated reporting period. That's about it!If you're thinking of bidding on a comparable Chevy Suburban or Ford Bronco of similar vintage, you really owe it to yourself to drive and look this Grand Wagoneer over first!

PLEASE DO BID WITH CONFIDENCE and know that you are purchasing a classic from a respected Ebay seller.I want you to be happy with your purchase (and with me) and that's the main goal! Please don't be upset by a missed flaw or some unforeseen problem! No vintage used car or truck is ever perfect.Having said that, please know this rig runs out well and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it long distance immediately.

Because of the amount of money involved in buying a vehicle, we require that Ebay members with a feedback history of five or fewer transactions call, text or email before placing a bid.If I don't have this initial contact, your bid may be cancelled. As I've outlined above, the phone number to talk directly to me is 206/914-1173.Please feel free to call any time during the auction. My name is MARK THOMPSON.You're welcome and encouraged to come by my Auburn, WA warehouse to inspect & drive the Grand Wagoneer. You might also make an offer, as many of my vehicles sell to smart "early birds" that contact me and work out a deal prior to the auction's end.I always reserve the right to sell during this period.

A Few Additional Terms and Conditions:

A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction ending with full payment of the balance by cash (in person only) or certified funds within seven business days unless prior arrangements have been made with me.I can accept credit or debit cards, but I'll first need to invoice you and ask that you cover the 3.25% fee our processor charges us for any amount above the $500 deposit. Please remember you're bidding to buy and I fully expect the winner to fulfill their Ebay contract! You're not bidding to hold or then come inspect and test-drive the vehicle later -- You're more than welcome to do this before the auction ends.

If you decide to have theJeep transported home, there are scores of companies to choose from.I ship vehicles regularly and am happy to make suggestions about who to use.In addition to quotes using the shipping tab here on the auction site, I have access to the nationwide Central Dispatch site and can post the freight for an amount YOU want to pay to attract a transporter for delivery.Ultimately, shipping of the vehicle and company chosen are the responsibility of the BUYER.

TheWagoneer can be stored free of charge at my location for up to two weeks after the auction ends assuming full payment has been received. After that period storage is $20 per day.The vehicle is being sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. All information described above is based on the observed condition when thelisting was placed. I've done my very best to describe the Jeep as honestly as possible and encourage bidders to contact me with questions.
