1985 Jeep CJ Laredo

1985 Jeep Scrambler Laredo Ground up Restoration project Done in 2000-2001 with a 4wd hardware heavy duty fiberglass tub painted forest green metallic has been re assembled with a Michigan assembled title as a 2001 Jeep truck. I have full coverage no questions asked by my insurance company, the Jeep has been stored until I purchased it last August and decided to fix and remove useless items such as two 20 gallon fuel cells and a tool box with a transfer pump which all was never used so I removed that plus the whole wire harness was a huge disaster so it too was torn out also plus many upgrades have done since then. The frame is original 1985 and very clean and solid not soft spots or nearly any rust I've also painted it three times with chassis saver very tough stuff.

I have replaced all the gauges with auto meter gauges the speedometer is original and works minus the fuel and temp gauges, I also added an air to fuel ratio gauge to. The Laredo package came with the spice seats and spice dash pad, plus delay wipers which work along with the wiper wash too plus the original heater works very well along with new cables for the heater. It has a tuffy center console with an alpine CD player that plays through a jbl sound bar $600 add on with Bluetooth to. Has a bed rug carpet kit that is waterproof and I also put in the centech wire harness along with all new U.S.A. made battery cables all purchased from ce auto electric in Arizona the block is grounded to the frame on both sides all the grounds under the dash are properly grounded along with too gel batteries that are located behind the cab divider in Moroso battery boxes. I did not go cheap on this project at all the drivetrain is bullet proof 355 Chevy small block mid 70's block two bolt main dart vortec heads 180 cc 10:1 compression extreme 4x4 cam approximately 1500 miles on the engine vortec intake 600 edelbrock carburetor professionally tuned specifically for the engine estimated horse power is 410 hp 1000-6000 rpm roller rockers and thorley block hugger stainless headers 2.5 in exhaust with hush power mufflers and a mini torque starter.

Gm NV4500 5 speed transmission with creeper gear attached to a Dana 300 twin stick transfer case. Ford 9 in front axle with Jeep outers 4:88 gears lunch box lockers rear is amc 20 with moser engineering 1 pc axle shafts 4:88 gears and a lunch box locker also and TSM disc brake conversions on the back axle along with a corvette style 2 chamber brake booster. The cab has a custom built sports cage bolted to the floor and to the frame attached to the factory roll bar too has a custom built bumper with a warn 8274 custom painted to match the Jeep color KC daylighter headlights along with off-road lights too everything works the Jeep is 100 percent road legal I've driven this Jeep most of the summer never seen winter since I just got it all done over the winter no death wobbles handles on the road at highway speeds has a super lift suspension lift 4 inches brand new skyjacker shocks 3 in body lift brand new wheels and tires with a spare too 17x9 dick cepek dc-2 wheels and mickey Thompson Mtz p3 tires 315-70-17 tires approximately 500 miles on them has a adventure series 23 gallon aluminum gas tank and a stainless steel skid plate also brand new bestop soft top with soft doors and includes the half cab too but needs some repairs but is functional also Downey products tonneau cover with all the hardware but is shrunk from weather I have a envelope of records I've put over $8,000 dollars in to it I have over 100 pictures of the project with before and after pics too the paint is nice on the Jeep but as you know it's not perfect due to the nature of being a fiberglass tub, windshield frame, tailgates, hood and fenders there are some sun blistering in the paint but it still looks good I get lots of compliments every time I drive the Jeep if you have any questions please message me I can send you videos of the Jeep running I have a couple of walk around videos too you won't be disappointed. You must run 93 octane or 110 leaded. Michigan Vin Number After Being Inspected is MI154A290K122101
