Cherokee XJ " Buck" NEVER BUILT!!!!!!

1980 Jeep Cherokee

This auction is for a VERY RARE Jeep Cherokee XJ "Buck". A buck was used after the prototype stages for development on other parts of the vehicle. The story on this one is that is was used for the A/C system . It didn't have front doors for easier access for designing. I can't find any information on Jeep "Bucks" only some on older classic cars. This could be the only one around or one of a few left. It is basically a Jeep that was never finished and has ZERO miles on it. The worst part on the jeep is the hood. It has holes drilled in it and is dented. It does have some surface rust as can be seen in the pictures. This is because it was never undercoated. I was going to spray some rust treatment on it, but thought someone may want it as original as possible. Because it was never completed it doesn't have a vin tag. It only has the "Buck" Identification tag on it. It has an emergency brake hooked up. This was for safety reasons. It also has a red rear hatch that someone has put on it to keep the weather out. Take a look at the pictures. The original steering box still has the port plugs in it. This is a one of a kind find. Note!!! I had to put a lower year on the listing because it has no VIN and that's the cutoff year to not list a VIN.
