Description:

1986 Jeep CJ 7 Laredo

Whether you are a Jeep aficionado who knows that this, "Last of a Great Breed" collectors edition means that it's the last of the short wheelbase CJs built, or just someone looking for a super clean Jeep, you should check out this sweet '86 CJ7 Laredo. At 24,065 miles, it has averaged only 752 miles/year, or 2 miles/day!
If this truck has ever been dirty, then whoever cleaned it should be crowned the Detailing King or Queen of the century. You can pull the carpets back, look in the corners, or crawl under the vehicle and will be hard pressed to find a spec of dust. It has a stripe kit announcing that it is equipped with the upscale Laredo package, and has sharp looking chrome grill, bumpers, and mirrors. There are nice roll bar steps along each rocker and a new BesTop Bikini top for a little extra fun in the sun. The soft top and doors with zip up windows are in great condition and show minimal wear. Chrome wheels really shine and look great with those 31X10.50s mounted on them.
Open the door, climb in and have a seat. The high back bucket seats are comfortable and supportive, trimmed out with pleated inserts and white highlights. A leather wrapped steering wheel feels good in your hands and sits in front of a dash that is trimmed out more like a car with chrome trimmed gauges and switches. The tach is directly in front of the driver with the speedo, fuel, and temperature gauges off toward the center with the collector's edition plaque above them and a leather padded handle for the passenger. The dash, upholstery and carpeting are spotless. BesTop floor mats have been added to keep them that way, and even include a mat in the cargo area behind the rear seat. There is a nice big, lockable, center console with lots of room to stash things and the shift levers for the 4-speed trans and 4WD are on the floor just in front of it.
Pop the hood, and you will find and engine compartment that looks like it just rolled out of the showroom. It has the tried and true 258-cubic inch 6-cylinder engine sitting in there with a shiny air filter housing so clean you could eat off of it. It has received a recent tune up with new plugs, cap, rotor and wires, as well as new belts and hoses just on principal. Proper maintenance based on time, not mileage, because if it was based on miles, it wouldn't even be due for it first service (other than an oil change) yet. The jack and lug wrench mounted in front of the battery have obviously never been used. Power is sent back through a 4-speed manual transmission, through the 4WD transfer case, to solid axles mounted on leaf springs front and rear with power front disc brakes handling the stopping duties. Tried and true CJ running gear.
Come on down and check out this great, low mileage, CJ. The Last of the Breed. Then take it home and put a few more miles on it yourself.
