1978 Jeep J20

Frame off restoration 1992, Southwest Jeep Bono Tx, All maint. records, Power Plant build by WAYNE CALVERT PRECISION ENGINES DENTON TX, The Calvert family has been building performance and racing engines since the late 50's, look them up, on their web site, lots of history there, they hold several world records.Transmission borg warner T-18 4 speed, granny low.Truck has just over 10,000 miles on rebuild, its not my daily driver but it gets used 2 or 3 times a wk, This truck has front and rear axles from a '76 J20 that I had, reason being, '76 was the last yr jeep used a real 3/4 ton front axle, after '76 the J20 just got a 1/2 front axle, same as the waggoneer, the difference is in the size of the rotors and the bearings, look at pic of front locking hub, look close behind the hub and you can see the larger bearings housing. The 1/2 ton axle outer hub shaft is the same size as the locking hub itself, ie: smaller bearings and rotors, as a jeep purist this is a big deal. Some surface rust in the usual areas, painted in '93 clear coat has finally failed in some areas, but in all in all this is a great jeep truck, tires interco radial Trxus m/t 35x12.50R/16.5LT m+s load range E. Truck has 7" of lift. Fuel cell replace with new poly tank. Please serious inquires only, Thank You
