1985 Jeep Wagoneer Woodgrain
Welcome Wagoneer fans! You are viewing a 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer- "RUST FREE" and FUEL INJECTED
If you are looking for a completely ready to go Jeep Grand Wagoneer- this is it. This Jeep has been among my "family" of vehicles for about 10 years. Prior to that it spent its first 20 years in salt free California. I have added only a few thousands miles since the purchase. The Jeep has recently undergone a refresh. Major improvements include complete repaint with New woodgrain decals and upgraded wood trim. Howell Fuel injection had been professionally added. This upgrade goes for $3200 if you were to have it installed. No more pumping the gas to get this Jeep started- reach in and turn the key. In every way this is a major upgrade- and fuel injection is being added by most all top end restoration shops at this point. Can be serviced using standard scan tools.
Other recent improvements include:
Windshield replaced with a NEW front seal
At the same time the upper dash was repainted to like new appearance
New shocks, brakes, oil pan gasket, tune up,new water pump
Undercarriage was cleaned and rust proofed
(See pictures- floors and frame A1 condition)
All the little things that many owners may ignore have been cared for by me as I service Wagoneers and have a full supply of parts for minor touch up and major improvements.
Anything that needed attention -got attention!
Les than perfect- the driver door is a little wavy (I call it "shopping cart damage". The New decals were installed after paint and before I really noticed this so I left it alone. From the side viewthis is not visible- but lookingfrom back to frontyou can see it.) Hood has a small- few inches-crease which I deemed acceptable before painting- hard to see unless you look for it. The few other cosmetic flaws with this Jeep are such that you need to look close- as the pictures show- appearance is very nice.
Interior isgood for the age- the seats have no major flaws- but do have some wear- a couple small holes-center arm rest worn- none of this seriously detracts from the vehicle.
A modern radio with CD has been added- with port for plugging in you hand held music device.
The rear carpet section is NEW- slighterdarker color as seen
I have been servicing Wagoneers for over 35 years- most of these spent as a Jeep dealer technician- many Wagoneers out there need a lot of attention after the sale- but you will not need that with this 85 Wagoneer- it is ready to go.
**For you Jeep enthusiast- yes the grill design is off a newer Jeep- I prefer the look of the 89 grill and wood design so I gave the exterior a bit of an upgrade.
Also- special rims with the classic gold caps- and tires are in great shape.
I welcome calls (609 610 7238) and if possible- come for a test drive.
I am located in Hamilton NJ- close to Trenton- about 2 hours for NY city- 1 hour from Philly
**I can assist with arranging transport after the sale if you need it**
**Vehicle odometer reads 138,603- title reads 155,273- whichis close to correct.
The engine was replaced with a fully remanufactured engine and now has 45,000 miles on it. The engine runs strong- great oil pressure- trans shifts well, awesome 4wd
Has all the usual power accessories-All power accessorieswork- except the rear defroster
I have owned many vehicles with 4wd and can say that nothing takes on the snow like a Grand Wagoneer- never been stuck in any snow conditions
I can also follow up with service in the future to keep your Wagoneer in top shape!
No need to talk a lot about what a fully restored Wagoneer can sell for- but a low mileage Jeep fully restored can sell for $50,000.00! For a fraction of the cost- while not a full restoration- this Wagoneer will be quite impressive and affordable on most budgets!
