1969 Jeep Commando Convertible

This 1969 Kaiser Jeepster Commando is sold as is. This is a rare convertible option that was paired with a 231 V6 aluminum block (not with vehicle). I am a Jeep enthusiast and ran across this rare Commando in my local paper and it is a true Barn (Shop) find. The previous owner has had the Jeep stored in the back of his shop, covered up for the last (28) years! In 2005 he put$1100.00 into arebuilt 231 Buick V6. Health did not allow him to finish and subsequently the motor was never started. The engine turns over by hand with no problem. The doors shut and fit really well and door/window handles work great! Door glass is uncracked and in above average shape. The body is in good shape with minimal rust. As shown in the pictures, the rear of therockers both have rust and the back left corner of the tailgate has rust. The floorboards (Shown in pictures)are rock solid with minimal surface rust. Come with many extra parts not pictured (Carburetor, throttle cable, etc...). Does NOT come with Top & Seats. Other than that, this Commandois pretty much complete!I could not find an ounce of Bondo in the body. It appears it is the original paint with a thin layer of rattle can camo over the top. The original metallic green paint (appears through the camo paint job) would be gorgeous asthe restored color of choice! The purchase is by cashier's check or money order, and shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
