1968 Jeepster Runs Needs Wiring Work

Description:

1968 Jeep Jeepster

This 1968 Jeepster was donated to the Portland Rescue Mission Drive Away Hunger program in Portland, Oregon. A previous owner started a rewiring project but did not finish. Most of the wiring under the hood is complete, but not under the dash and through the rest of the body. We believe that all necessary parts are there, but cannot be certain.
The motor will fire up and run if you:
1) hot-wire the ignition
2) jump-start the battery and
3) use starting fluid in the carb.
We will demonstrate that it runs, by appointment.
This is a 4WD, with the Buick-made 231 V6, and with 4-spd manual transmission.
There is minimal surface rust at a few spots on the body, i.e. door hinges, and on the underside carriage. It has been an Oregon vehicle since 9/2014, possibly longer, and so does not have the sort of rust cars from other states may have.
The hardtop is fixed, NOT removable.
VIN is 8705F1726860
The vehicle may be inspected at our Drive Away Hunger lot at 8301 NE Halsey, Portland, OR Monday through Saturday from 9am to 5:30pm.
Your purchase price goes to help rescue men, women and children from the despair of homelessness and addiction. You’ll feel great knowing that you’re offering new life through Portland Rescue Mission.
