Description:

1991 Jeep Cherokee

Zombie hunter? Prepper? Beach bum? Tacticool? Avid outdoorsman? In need of a awesome rugged advertising strategy? I have the perfect Jeep for you. Why buy a Polaris for this price when you cant even drive it on the street? This was built as a one off toy, just I have more fun building things than driving them. Professionally hand built, no corners cut and almost zero prefab parts. STREET LEGAL and no second thoughts driving it on the highway to the lease. It's not a rockcrawler; it's just a well built South Texas hunting buggy.
1991 Jeep Cherokee
4.0 auto with a NP242 (part time and full time 4wd, no vacuum and crap to worry about)
189k, runs like a champ, drivetrain is solid and runs cool
About 20k on rebuilt 4.0
About 50k on rebuilt AW4 auto trans
Around 20k on rebuilt NP242 tcase
Around 5k on 4.56 gears and aussie lockers
Tons of new parts, anything that was suspect was replaced.
4.5" Heavy duty Tomken lift
33" Goodyear Duratracs @ about 80%
Stock axles (30/35) 4.56 gears with aussie lockers F/R, c clip eliminators.
No front sway bar but no death wobble even at highway speeds. (65-70mph)
All HVAC removed, no radio, no cruise, exc.
Converted to dual diaphragm brake booster off of a 2003 Grand Cherokee (was Renix 9 ABS)
Professionally hand built, nothing anything like it anywhere.
Just got a full service and clean bill of health.
Tires rotated/balanced, fresh fluids and full inspection.
Fully street legal, registered as an antique for cheap insurance (I pay $8/mo)
LED headlights
20" front bumper
50" curved over windshield
2- 7" each side
30" rear
Flush pods as reverse lights
All mounting tabs are welded into cage using plate steel.
Lightbars all wired to trailer plug under dash for easy disconnect
All lightbars wired to solenoid and custom aux fuse/relay box under dash
Switch panel on dash, very clean install, all color coded and no rats nest of wires.
Zero rust, entire jeep other than underhood area was taken to bare metal, all cancer cut out and replaced with fresh metal.
Few small bumps and dents on the hood but nothing bad and paint is 100%
Bumpers and grilles bedlined with clearcoat, haven't gotten around to bedlining the interior like I planned.
Passenger side A pillar is dented from hitting a tree before the cage, purely cosmetic and has a new windshield
Suspension racing seats with 4 pt harnesses, custom aluminum storage boxes.
Custom rear cargo area to maximize capacity, fully structured and tested to make sure it'd last.
B pillars cut out and restructured into rear cargo section, 100% solid and lots of testing and frame table checks to make absolutely sure it didn't weaken the Jeep.
Custom exo cage, custom bumpers, removable suicide doors, 2x6 square tube rocker panels
Roof of cage has heavy expanded metal floor, will carry anything you throw up there plus some.
Cage built with 2" x .120" ERW tube and is fully removable, 12 bolts hold it onto the bumpers and rockers. Built this way because we were going to build a hunting stand to swap over that would use the same mounts but never built it. It is set up to unbolt, lift up and be able to back the jeep out from under it. Would be easy to structure it into the jeep, but its fun to take it off once in awhile. Cage weighs approximately 750# and the Jeep overall weighs about 300# over stock weight as it sits.
Gets tons of looks and is my nice day driver that gets about 300mi/month minimum. I jump in it and drive it 100+ miles without thinking twice all the time. Flatland hunting buggy and honestly has been driving around on the road more than anything since the rebuild. No radio or crap you don't need, just the mud tires humming and the wind blowing, perfect getaway from the daily grind. Selling it basically for what I have in it in parts and materials, can't build this even with free labor for this price. Was purchased in close to stock condition (4/2015) and built to current spec. Build was finished right before Christmas 2015. Clean Texas title in my name.
Deposit of $500 due 48 hrs after auction end, 7 days for full payment. Vehicle is also for sale locally, reserve the right to close if sold (if item has no bidders on it). Can also arrange or assist in shipping if needed.
